Sorry for necro bumb, but I just checked and now even the first two seasons are gone from Prime video. Combined with info that blu-ray of season 5 apparently has wide selection of subtitles suggests the series might arrive to another service soon
I'd wish seasons 3 and 4 also got new prints...
I just checked my Prime Video (Finland). Seasons 3 and 4 are indeed listed, but they can't be viewed. I think it has been this way for a long time already, so who knows if seasons 4 and 5 ever come there. I wonder what happened here, since only season 3 left the service a year ago.
It does sound a bit concerning that SkyShowtime is not mentioned at all. For those wondering, it's a joint between Paramount and Peacock for smaller markets mainly in Europe. We in Nordics had Discovery seasons 1-4 on P+ when we still had it, but ever since SkyShowtime took over, they were all...
Yeah, that really sucks. On the other hand, here in Nordics, LD season 2 and PIC season 2 were only released on Blu-Ray, and not on DVD. Then again, it looks like we are not getting the SNW Season 1 at all on physical media.
I rated it 8/10, good, but not as good as Season 1 or 2 openers. Funny thing I noticed is that every season begins by someone asking help from Picard. First season it was Dahj, second season it was Jurati-Borg and now third season, Beverly Crusher.
Around here, I think it's just common psychology, that people still buy DVD's. Physically BD look just like DVD and costs more. Therefore you average Joe just buy's a DVD. But I think digital streaming is the new norm, and will be even more profilic in the future. I see Disney bowing out of...
I'm just glad that at least around here, they have finally stopped releasing these shows on DVD. We only get Blu-Ray's now. The faster we get rid of that old format, the better chances there are for UHD releases. Altough in today's climate, even those are rare.
So, October for US, that means probably November or December for us in EU. I have been buying these individual seasons because there is always a possibility that there won't be a complete series box released after the series concludes.
Age of physical media is quickly coming to an end, but I...
Season 2 releases on home media in October:

Steelbook is also confirmed.
