I only seen to have problems with Amazon when it comes to Blu-ray, so just save all your receipts until you check the entire box and all discs. Pop each one in, make sure each episode plays correctly. Usually, I'll just skip to a random spot of each episode and disc. Maybe 5 mins to check each...
Did I dismiss OUAT? No. I asked questions.
Sure I can, it's how I've been picking movies for 20 years.
I generally give a TV show about 1-5 episodes to catch my interest. If I'm not sold by the 5th episode, I bail.
For me, the show is good from the word go. "Encounter at Farpoint" is...
If you ordered it from Amazon and the box and or discs come damaged, they will honor a replacement.
When I ordered TNG S2 on Blu-ray, it came damaged, so I sent it back.
When I ordered TNG S2 on Blu-ray again, it came damaged, so I sent it back.
When I ordered TNG S2 on Blu-ray for the third...
Which I do not watch.
Agreed. For me it was the Monk and Sharona duo that made it work, and I loved the episode where her kid Benji had to fill in for mom in the vacation episode.
I think the only "adult" cartoons that I've watched (friend's house doesn't count) is Rick and Morty. That was is beyond messed up, but funny. The other is Futurama, but I got bored after 2 episodes. Does Primal count? What about the following anime? Cowboy Bebop: bought the Blu-ray so I can see...
That's how I found House, though. With movies, I'm more likely to dive in blind. With a series, kind of a time commitment, so I watch trailers and clips to see if it's something I want to see or not. With OUAT, worth checking out further? It was a BIG show when it was new. :D
But I still feel like that's the minority compared to the sheer about of animations that have come out over the decades.
That's just messed, come on now.
For me: premise first, story second, characters third, format... format doesn't determine if I watch or not. That's more...
I came here to mention Leland Orser too. On the big screen, he's great in Alien Resurrection, the Taken trilogy, and I believe he has a small role in The Bone Collector. On TV, he's great in this episode (Voyager's Revulsion), Enterprise "Carpenter Street," OK, so I only know him from a few...
Animation as a whole is still mostly aimed at children, so they are not wrong. Shows like Simpsons and Family Guy are more the exception.
It's not incorrect. They are allowed to believe what they want - fee country.
For me, it's premise first, then characters. There are some shows with...
