    STAR TREK V DIRECTOR´S CUT

TFF wasn't such a failure. It made $63M from a $33M budget and it made pretty good in Home Video sales. Ofc was a flop in comparison with the rest of the saga but it did decently as lots of people would watch it 100% after Star Trek IV.

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

UPDATE: The musical score for the ending part of the movie is completed! I'm sure it will give you some chills. Now waiting for the improvements on Topaz Starlight model to proceed to the remaining scenes upscaling.

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

UPDATE: There will be some new surprises for the Extended Cut besides the additional scenes and the newly improved versions of the SV new scenes. Also the editing of the ending scenes is finished, with the new order of the scenes hopefully handling the issues present in the SV and the Theatrical...

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

Testing the new "Project Starlight" model from Topaz for this edit with awesome results¡¡ Forget about HitPaw, this is far better altought HitPaw could still be useful for some concrete things.

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

Teeth looking different is a good trade off I think as in the source and previous upgraded versions they weren´t even teeth, just some distorted textures there. Regarding the eyes, in that particular scene it seems Topaz already changed the colour of her eyes a bit from black to dark brown, and...

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

Yeah, I have plans to release a 4K Dolby Vision version, but only once the Blu-ray Standard and Extended Cut versions are released.

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

Hi. I didn't use the 4K Blu-ray as source. I did use the remastered 1080p Blu-ray instead. It should be possible to preserve the metadata for a 4K HDR /Dolby vision version but not sure what would happen with the additional scenes.

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

The upgraded versions are basically 90% of the source video, so it´s definitely Deanna Troi. Of course the source quality doesn´t leave too much space for the upscaling software to recreate detail but it keeps or improves the details from the source while cleaning the overall image.

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

Sorry, I´ve updated the post now. No, I´ve been using HitPaw Face Model which is basically GFPGAN.

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

Star Trek Nemesis: The Last Rendezvous Extended Cut continues its progress and I´ve been using a new workflow for the scenes upgrading thanks to software that uses the chinese facial reconstruction algorithms (HitPaw/GFPGAN) which I´m using in a subtle way over the Topaz upscales together with a...

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

There are two new scenes which are not exactly new scenes but rather cut dialogue parts within actual scenes. One during Shinzon presentation scene and another one when Crusher and Picard are discussing Shinzon. Do you think it would be worth to include those two bits of dialogue?

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

Update: Main video restoration work is finished on "Sickbay Preparing for Battle" and "Crusher Joins Starfleet Medical" scenes. Still have to remove the watermarked credits on the latter. I´m currently finishing audio/video restoration on the "Ten Forward scene with B-4" scene while also doing...

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

https://imgsli.com/MzM3NDYy/0/2 3 way comparison between "Sickbay Preparing for Battle" Source, Upgraded v1 and Newly Upgraded v2 versions. Last version has improved detail on faces and slightly in objects and edges. I blended both v1 and New AI Upscaled Version changing the percentages between...

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

Hi. Here is some update with the Extended Cut. I´ve been working on the remaining deleted scenes and using a new method for improving them that will be also partially applied to the scenes which were already included in the SV. About 40% of the Extended Cut scenes enhancing work has ben...

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

Wasn´t planning on sharing this, but here´s some updates and actual results of the upgrading work on the Deleted Scenes for the Extended Cut. Source quality is even worse than the scenes used in the SV. As I said before, Chateau or Alternate Ending were quite decent after all, but these are crap...

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

I´ll keep it but it´s not one of the new scenes that I think add something special or an increase in quality for the movie. Anyway, we get rid of the bed/sexual mind rape scene which was truly awful in my opinion.
  19. AnotherGalaxys

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

Yeah, but I was also talking about removing the Alternate version as well, so there´s no mind rape at all. But as a good part of this edit intention is to get the deleted scenes into the movie, maybe keeping the mind rape with the Alternate version is the best choice. I´m not against the concept...

Star Trek: Nemesis - As Never Seen Before (Update)

That's exactly what I did for the Standard Version. I meant I'd like to avoid using any of those two versions, so there wouldn´t be a mind rape.
