Finally got to my copy and got it read. An excellent tale. Mack managed to tell a TOS Kirk & crew story while seamlessly mixing in a good amount of Vanguard lore and people...and it worked wonderfully. I am a huge fan of the Vanguard books, so of course loved seeing some of the old gang in...
Some interesting points of view floating around here, as usual. For myself, I loved the show. It was nice to see a different view of the Star Wars universe. Andor had much more of a 'street level' feel to it than much of the other SW material. Looking forward to Season-2.
For the most part I liked Kenobi. It had it's weak moments to be sure, but I can watch Ewan McGregor play Obi-Wan all day. I'd love to see him do more, but think a second season is probably a bad idea. But if they were to do one, I would strongly advise they pretty much leave Vader out of it...I...
What I find interesting, is, from what we see in the trailer it doesn't seem the multiverse events of this movie are at all connected to what is going on in the Loki series. I assume the upcoming Doctor Strange movie will clarify things...maybe.
I remember when I was collecting Avengers comics way back in the '70's & '80's it was mentioned by characters back then that they received a monthly 'stipend' from Stark, if memory serves. The amount was never stated tho.
From what Sam say's here, that doesn't seem to be the case in the MCU...
@Charles Phipps When you're done with the actual novels, there is an eBook short story by Dayton Ward - Vanguard: In Tempest's Wake that sort of ties everything up. It's a good end-cap to the series...
I voted it 'Outstanding'. I thoroughly enjoyed the story. I thought the flashbacks and leaps forward meshed very well. I particularly enjoyed the Sacagawea crew members and how well developed they were...to the point of wanting to see more of them, if possible at some point.
The best praise I...

Busy day around here. Just Pre-ordered :
The Captains Oath By Christopher L. Bennett
The Enterprise War By John Jackson Miller
The Antares Maelstrom By Greg Cox
Collateral Damage By David Mack
Expecting Dayton Wards Available Light to ship any day now. Good things coming. ;-)
I think a good way to introduce Doctor Doom would be to have him be the mastermind of event from several future movies. Perhaps whatever happens in Captain Marvel-2 or Doctor Strange-2 are due to his machinations.
Have him appear in a few post-credit scenes here and there sort of like Thanos...
Voted Outstanding. I have come to really enjoy Swallow's writing style. The story was great and moved along well. I liked the change in mission for the Titan and Riker's new command.
I also liked the shout out on page 147 to a 'great-great-great-aunt' of Rager's who must be Space Above &...
Patrick Stewart confirms exact date of new series. Show to be set in 2389...two years after the destruction of Romulus.

It's not a 'law', but it is a naval regulation...there's a difference. Also, perspective skippers of aircraft carriers have to go through and pass Nuclear Power School...which is not easy...you have to know the ship you command.
I like to think the angst and worry about the fate of the litverse continuity you see here is actually a testament from the fans/readers to all the current (and past) authors and editors of just how much your works have meant to a great many people. Nobody wants a good thing to end.
I know for...
For all we know, Spock Prime only imparted part of the story to nuKirk in the ST09 sequence. For all we know maybe Picard and the Enterprise we're also involved in some way in trying to save Romulus, and the failure to do so is what caused him to retire from Starfleet etc, etc.
With David Mack's next Trek book going back and revisiting the events and repercussions of A Time To Kill/Heal...and given its release date somewhere before the new Picard show...I would not at all be surprised if the current Treklit continuity gets wrapped up in that novel...it would be an...
It was a great interview. Got me to not only pre-order Mack's Dark Arts Book Two: the Iron Codex...but copies of A Time To Kill/Heal as well...tho I know the 'A Time To' overall plotline well enough, I've yet to read those...time to rectify that oversight.
