    Yes, another TOS Constitution reboot

I absolutely love the Kubrick-2001-remincient material (colors? tone?) of this Enterprise, but I'm curious if you ever tried giving it that pearlescent paint job of the TNP Enterprise. Not sure it would work, but I'm kind of hungry for a whole set of Starfleet vessels done in that style. (We...

    Yes, another TOS Constitution reboot

I think I'd like the SNW Enterprise much better if they hadn't gone for that very reflective finish on it. Makes me think of aluminum foil and fragility. Regardless, Hunter's version is by far the best I've seen anywhere.

    Yes, another TOS Constitution reboot

I hope Hunter-G doesn't mind my sharing the fact that he has some cool new images of this beauty up on his ArtStation profile. Check it out, because he places his version next to the TOS version for comparison. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Eza8We Make sure you check out the 2024 version...

    Wow! 1/25 scale TOS Enterprise…

Check out the latest update on this:

    Very nice new TMP-era visual

I'm surprised I hadn't seen this one until just now: Hunter G's gorgeous Enterprise recreating the Corbomite Maneuver:

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x10 - "Life, Itself"

Coincidentally, a video was recently released talking about how it's actually quite difficult to fall into a black hole.

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x10 - "Life, Itself"

I thought it was a pretty good ending given what the writers have given us in this show. It had the usual problems with pacing and trying to force us to feel things without properly building them up, but there was a sincerity to it that I appreciated. Not ending up with some amazing new...

    Very nice new TMP-era visual

Agreed. I'm impressed how close he got with those renders, though. Doesn't seem like it would take much more to get them looking theater-ready. There's some other fun Trek stuff on that channel, too!

    Very nice new TMP-era visual

Excellent job of matching the look of film (TWoK) in this one:

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x09 - "Lagrange Point"

Agreed, with the exception of Picard's third season, which started off unbelievably strong ("they've actually learned!") and then completely fell to pieces at the end, IMO. :ack:

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x09 - "Lagrange Point"

When they find the progenitor device/gateway, they waste minutes waxing philosophically about how amazing it is that it's been there for hundreds of years INSTEAD OF JUST GRABBING IT BECAUSE THEY'RE LITERALLY IN A RACE TO GET THIS THING. And then, of course, Moll+Breen show up and just nab it...

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x08 - "Labyrinths"

It's sad that we've gotten so few moments like these for the other characters throughout the series.

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x08 - "Labyrinths"

The most amazing biscuits ever - the origin of all biscuits! This technology could be used for good (turning barren worlds into biscuit-bearing paradises) or evil (destroying once successful mom and pop biscuit shops across the galaxy). Rare image of an actual progenitor:

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x08 - "Labyrinths"

That's a good way to look at it, although I don't think that was the intent. My immediate reaction to her pouring out all that sand from the half-filled bucket was, "SHE'S POURING IT OUT WAY TOO FAST!" The nice-looking overhead look we were shown made it seem like it would take hours if not days...

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x08 - "Labyrinths"

+ Beautiful effects work in many scenes - Not enough has been done to make Moll sympathetic. She's single-mindedly selfish to the point of destroying the galaxy for her emotional needs. Not enough backstory there to make us feel that makes sense and not that she's a psychopath. + Some good...

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x06 - "Whistlespeak"

Yup. It was about endurance and willpower, not speed. There were only two contestants left at the end. They weren't just the first to get to the finish - they were the only ones to get to the finish.

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x06 - "Whistlespeak"

Haven't thought much of the Discovery episodes this season, but this was easily one of the most like classic Trek in this show's entire run. It surprised me. :) Also - I assume this has been discussed elsewhere, but what's the theory on the writers introducing Rayner as, effectively, a...

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x01 - "Red Directive"

I only wish they wouldn't keep the camera so darned rock-steady all the time.

    Very nice new TMP-era visual

Another great entry from the same artist who did the second video I linked above. This time it's a Phase 2 Enterprise. (Unfortunately, it's also region-limited as the other one was.) Screen capture to give you an idea:

Unrelated to the first video, but also TNP-era and also cool. This one takes more liberties, but some cool ideas: Screen capture to give you an idea:
