The episode gets a 7 because cliffhangers are rude and they give me anxiety. It's streaming, there's no ratings, it's just impolite. We're going to watch next season; they don't need to create anxiety for us. Beyond that, nothing much really happens but Scotty was excellent and also actually...
I…find musicals preposterous. It is illogical to burst into song. It got a 2 because I love the show but I couldn’t get through the episode. I’ll have to try again another time.
I like both too, though it definitely feels like you're not allowed to do that here
I agree about the woke complaints. Although there is a LOT of remaking going on for money's sake, I assume. I love that Disco doesn't give a f about timelines or canons and just gives us this beautiful...
I loved this episode! Best one of the season for me.
Really liked:
- New Kirk - I enjoyed Wesley bringing more seriousness and depth to the character now. It took a bit but, I really like new Kirk. (At this point I am seeing TOS as a sixties TV version of real events in the near future).

I'm not saying be positive about it, just maybe not much point in judging it. Everyone's in a different place. It doesn't really affect your enjoyment if someone enjoys it for a different reason.
Schadenfreude is a human emotion that does exist. While I try to discourage my students from acting out of spite, I try to do so in a way that doesn't invalidate the emotion behind it and shame them for having it. Negative emotions do exist. Perhaps you're in a place where you have learned to...
I think it was meant to be a commentary on exactly what your analysing brain is doing in response to the episode. They screwed up a few times by leaving clues. The clues made people investigate, eventually discovering the truth.
I have to watch all shows with subtitles. There's some articles going around about poor audio quality (link below) but I have hyperacusis so I assume I am the problem. Have zero difficulty understanding M'Benga though...
I'm not saying anything is better or worse or preferable. I only mentioned the expanse as an example of a different way of looking at encounters. I agree the episodic nature wouldn't allow for that.
Maybe the Talosians learned from their errors with Vina and fix both of them with the help of Chapel and the customer service aliens. And then they all waltz off into the sunset together.
I mean we can definitely agree to disagree. I agree with you 99% of the time. I don't want to reproduce it by screenshotting her nipples. I'm certainly no prude but, it seemed like those fighting scenes were purposefully were in there to establish, as if we weren't aware, that she is 'hot' and...
Yeah that's why I think it needs to be with a Vulcan, there's some kind of telepathic connection. When Trip is bonded with T'Pol, the Orion women have no effect on him. And it explains the whole 'almost hurting Kirk stopped my pon farr' thing, that there is a mental aspect to it. Also perhaps...
