No, you have it backwards. Actually the way it works is if you are the one who has had something defamatory, libelous, or slanderous said against you causing harm monetarily or mentally then you can pursue a civil case against them.

I personally think Chapel somehow figures out how to beam the baby gorn out of her body and Pike will use them in a trade to get his crew and the civilians back from the head gorn.
I'm not seeing Ortegas on the bridge at her station. A redshirt dude is sitting at her station and Pike is in the chair with his away team tactical gear on indicating they returned from their mission.
