Starhunter (later Starhunter 2300) to Relaunch as Web Series

Fairly extensive new effects, I've heard (to the point they reshot all of one character's appearance in season two.) There's a long-ish video on it here: And according to a Reddit AMA the creators did, while it's currently in the US they will be announcing channels in other countries like...

What kind of Trek cartoon do you want?

I don't think they can - given the division between Paramount and CBS. If they could, I suspect they would have set Discovery in the Kelvin timeline (one Kurtzmann helped create and which Fuller had hoped to set a show when idly discussing ideas in 2013.)

Alex Kurtzman Gets New Deal With CBS, Will Expand 'Star Trek' TV

Kurtzmann's company produces Discovery. He hasn't had a lot involved creatively or the day-to-day, but the expansion of his role indicates faith in him as a producer, which suggests faith in the product he produced. After all he probably won't be involved as a showrunner on any of the four new...

    Andromeda: Any Good?

The Horror Channel in the UK really is, like Pick TV, one of the go-to channels for the old syndicated shows. They did Earth: Final Conflict recently; they've done Xena, Dark Angel, you name it, it probably went through there in the last few years.

Alex Kurtzman Gets New Deal With CBS, Will Expand 'Star Trek' TV

I'd think if they thought Discovery was a failure, why would they sign the guy involved in developing Discovery (the first person hired in the process of making the series, the one who found Fuller to develop it further) to continue to develop Star Trek for them. But hey, what I do know...

What kind of Trek cartoon do you want?

Something in the vein of what Disney has done with Star Wars Rebels - an entertaining action adventure cartoon mostly aimed at children, but with enough emotional investment it can take its characters pretty seriously - and while the show has room for appearances from well known characters from...

Did you like "Crusade" the B5 spin-off?

I had a lot of stumbling blocks with Crusade (I never liked the Technomages on Babylon 5 and Galen was everything I disliked about them up to the Nth degree) and the X-Files episode was insufferable, but I did like Max Eilerson. I plan to revisit the show at some point so it will be interesting...

Starhunter (later Starhunter 2300) to Relaunch as Web Series

I've never actually watched this show, but the 'redux' of the show (that is a remastering featuring a lot of new special effects) is complete and is airing on Tuesdays on the United States on the El Rey Network, with the new third season also apparently in the can. Trailers exist and everything.

    Andromeda: Any Good?

It was available On Demand for the Pick channel in the UK and Ireland as of last year (and in high definition, too, I presume from the recent-ish Blu-Ray release), which I used to do a full series watch through. It's not up there anymore, though, admittedly, but I think they still do reruns on...

Who would you like to see cast as 'Number One' in Discovery?

He's already got her for American Gods, and given he's said his series lead is a first officer and not a captain (and possibly a woman of colour), Anderson seems unlikely. To have a guest spot, though, who knows.

Is there a Behind the Scenes Story about the Comet

The comet is a visual signifier to show we are in the vastness of space. It's not important, any more than the Nebula-class USS Leeds seen docked in the intro sequence from season four onwards is an integral part of DS9's story.

    Just use a "Connie"!

Hadn't been necessary for any spinoff including The Next Generation, which is the one spinoff that was a bonafide hit (and whose Captain, of course, did not wear gold.)

    Just use a "Connie"!

We've already got a Connie as the lead ship of the current film series - visually different from the Prime Universe Connie, obviously, but clearly in the same general design ballpark. Whatever one feels about the merits of Disovery's ship design, it is clearly not that ship - or the ship of any...

    Discovery Klingons: Flat or Bumpy?

We saw Klingons in seven - seven episodes - there are less Klingons in the original show than any other Star Trek (except the animated series.) Over half of these episodes - "Friday's Child", "A Private Little War", "Elaan of Troyius" and "The Savage Curtain" - we see a Klingon, singular. The...

Haters of Star Trek: Discovery - wtf?

See? Someone likes this thing. The same applies to really any TV show that's getting renewed; presumably there are also people who watch - let's say - Blindspot. Well, obviously. My point is just stuff succeeds regardless of whether or not you like it. There's dozens of cancelled yet beloved...

Haters of Star Trek: Discovery - wtf?

I'd agree with that if this was like, 2014. But since then we've had Dark Matter, Killjoys and the Expanse; space opera's at least extant on TV now, which prior to that it hadn't been since, like, Caprica. (Also had space opera adjacent shows like Defiance, but that's neither here nor there.)...

Also Starring ... Andrew J. Robinson

Garak as a regular character would have probably been a bit like, well, Quark - whenever the show was mostly about the Defiant or Starfleet issues, Quark was that guy off to the side who maybe got a scene in the episode and then disappeared.

what show would you have chosen to do a trek crossover with?

I would very much like to see the actual 100% real crossover The Next Generation did with Webster. Seriously. Anyway, Frasier. The Doctor from Voyager could have appeared on the show in the 1990s (and Robert Picardo actually did guest star on the show!) perhaps time travelling and under cover...

We have a production designer, and Bad Robot may be involved

They are indeed, and in one sense we know he will be different from Hannibal: Fuller has promised 'new crews,' which suggests we're unlikely to see any familiar characters as principals, unlike, of course, on Hannibal.

Does anyone think we'll see the show in the States OUTSIDE "All Access" at any point?

I wouldn't be surprised if it winds up on Sky here for Irish audiences, though; Sky monopolized all the Star Trek spinoffs during the 1990s. Of course, they did the same with the X-FIles, and the reboot turned up on RTE2 of all places, so who knows; we may be seeing people explore new worlds...
