Desilu's Oscar Katz on film — Fact Trek

I remember reading "Star Trek Lives!" and wishing that I could have gone to the convention.

Avery Brooks to return as Sisko?

And since Google keeps pushing the story to my phone, I find the story even less believable (though I do consider a "Deep Space 9: The Emissary Returns" show a great concept).

    Garak--the Master Spy?

I recently discovered a podcast that deals with Spies/Secret Agents in media. "Spies Like Us" did a two-part discussion of Elim Garak and his spy craft. It's quite thorough, and entertaining...

    Jake Sisko - Completely Unlikeable

The Siege of AR-558 and It's Only a Paper Moon are among my favorite episodes. It would have been even more dramatically interesting if Jake had joined Starfleet and been the one that lost his leg. How would Sisko have reacted? (Which is something that Quark suggests during the Siege .)

    Star Trek characters with superpowers

^^^Yes, and for the same reasons, Khan and his buddies.

    Good scenes in mediocre episodes

Yes, one of my few favorites from season one.

Why Starfleet changes uniform styles so bloody often

Really! I wasn't aware of that. I wondered why she stopped writing Trek novels; she was one of my favorites.

Ridiculous crossovers you'd like to see?

James Bond and "Jaws" Bond retires from MI-6 and becomes a sheriff in a small Long Island town. The town is menaced by Jaws, played by Richard Kiel. He's an assassin with metallic teeth who eats his victims. Sheriff Bond brings in former adversary Red Grant (Robert Shaw) to help him hunt Jaws.

Ridiculous crossovers you'd like to see?

"Jadzia, today is a good day to do some 'splaining!"

    Guinan and Q; ever explained?

That was the recipe for Plomeek soup.

Forgotten great Sci Fi tv characters.

Captain Robert April --first captain of the Enterprise. Only on screen once, in TAS. CBS should make a TV/Streaming movie based on Diane Carey's "Final Frontier" (one on my favorite Trek novels).

Does “All Good Things...” make sense?

    ^^^ "...so, we're replacing you with B4."

    Miles O'brien's Bar Tab

The sans currency and people working just for the enjoyment of it--peeling potatoes for example-- concepts were the most fantastical parts of the ST universe (warp drive, transporters and humans breeding with non-terran beings are much easier to believe).

Part of me wished kirk would have joined his crew on Omicron Ceti III

^^^On our next thrilling episode, McCoy shares his mint julep recipe with the rest of the sporizens.

    Litverse & Star Trek '09

That brings back memories. "Horatius" was really my first introduction to Star Trek. I asked my parents to buy that book when I was in 1st grade, because it dealt with space (I was into the space program/Apollo). I read the whole book in about 2 hours. Since I hadn't seen the show yet (outside...

The One Thing You Could Change, TOS Edition...

More SF writers for the episodes. Granted, of all the Treks, I believe that TOS had the most, but I wish more episodes had been written by science fiction writers.

Is it more important to you that Trek deepens lore, or explores new worlds?

Agreed! If the new Pike series really does this, I'll subscribe to CBSAccess.
