What happened to Star Trek Magazine

Yeah, I kinda hope they do one more collection, as my "Attempted Break-In" and "The Sirius Snarl" have yet to be reprinted.....

Star Trek Generations novelization with original Kirk ending available anywhere in digital?

YA novelizations also have an annoying tendency not to include the entire ending, and would often not include icky things like death scenes, so it may not be an issue with Vornholt's book....

I should add that you can preorder the physical magazine in the post above. The audio and eBook versions will be available around the end of the month. And, as an added bonus, I'll be doing the audio reading of my own story! This will be my first professional audio reading (I've done plenty of...

    Trek writers original works

My story in the next issue of Weird Tales that Greg mentioned is a vampire story taking place in New York City in 1976. It's called "Order Up." I posted the cover and the full TOC for the issue, which is available for preorder, on my blog.

So What Are you Reading?: Generations

As @Smiley indicated, you can do that without issue. The Double Helix books were each standalone-ish books that had a recurring theme of a disease. But each book had its own beginning, middle, and end. The true objective of the series, as editor John Ordover put it back then, was "Star Trek...

    E-Book Pricing Alerts

There's no reason why they can't collect the eight Star Trek: Corps of Engineers eBooks (Turn the Page, Troubleshooting, The Light, The Art of the Comeback, Signs from Heaven, Ghost, and Remembrance of Things Past) into two trade paperbacks. They just, y'know, haven't. Ditto Slings and Arrows......

Every time someone says they skip the prologue, I ask if they also go into the movie five minutes after it starts.

    Neat things authors do

Chapter 8 of my Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda novel Destruction of Illusions: "The best laid plans of mice and men usually go about the way you expect when you involve a rodent in the planning process." ---Jackson Fiorello, "Aphorisms," CY 9876

    Neat things authors do

I put quotes at the beginning of each chapter of my Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda novel, but that was in keeping with the show, which did the same thing. Most of them were made-up in-universe quotes.

Is Pocket Books embarrassed about allowing Ishmael's crossover to slip through?

As the editor of the second trilogy (but not the first), you're welcome. :)

    Star Trek: Early Voyages

It may have convinced you, but it did not convince "people" (or, "ppl," I guess) of that at all, at least based on the fulminating online discourse in 2001 and 2002.

    Star Trek: Early Voyages

I think SNW has done a magnificent job of matching the aesthetic of TOS without looking ridiculous. Because, let's face it, if you remove the warp drive and transporter, Kirk's Enterprise is less technologically sophisticated than my house. It's what they though the future would look like in...

    DS9 Relaunch Appreciation

I get why some folks are salty about it, but I tried to take advantage of it to tell a nifty story. I made sure that you got a complete story with a beginning, middle, and end in Demons of Air and Darkness, and I made sure that "Horn and Ivory" was its own thing, focused on Kira.

    Common author name abbreviations

I never named a Klingon "Krad." Someone else may have.
