    Favourite Enterprise...

I love it. It's hard to pick a favorite. I just like all the detail of the TMP ship...but, I love the Pike era Ent through TMP.

    Favourite Enterprise...

There's certain shots in Khan where it's pretty obvious the paint has been modified. To me, the shot where the Enterprise pulls up alongside Regula One...it looks almost completely gray in that. Ugh.

    Favourite Enterprise...

Yes, it does. Thanks for re-explaining all that. It's something I knew at one time, but forgot in the fog of time...

    Favourite Enterprise...

I like the TNG production design just fine. In fact, I liked the way the alternate Ent-D bridge was lit in Yesterday's Enterprise. Nice and dark! I hated the lighting in Generations overall. Very muddy, dark, and washed out looking -- similar to the lighting in Nemesis...ugh. I didn't mind...

I prefer the STVI bridge. The FF bridge was too bright. As a matter of fact, I don't like any bridge that is too brightly lit. The TOS bridge was always sort of dark...that's the way (uh huh uh huh) I like it! :-)

There actually was another option at that time -- Richard Edlund's Boss Films FX house that had worked on Ghostbusters and 2010. Apogee was still around too (if memory serves) -- since they had worked on the films Lifeforce and Invaders from Mars and others. But -- remember too the heads of the...

    Favourite Enterprise...

I agree wholeheartedly!! For a long time I really did not care for what ILM did to the model -- and I still don't. Even before Trumbull came on TMP as a Visual Effects Director, he admired the job that Magicam did on that model. But regardless, nothing is as bad as what Bran Ferren did. The...

    Favourite Enterprise...

This is incorrect. Since the nebula effects were shot in a cloud tank and were composited with the independently shot motion control footage of the Enterprise model, the nebula had nothing to do with the alteration of the miniature. The miniature's paint job was dulled (not repainted, if memory...

    Favourite Enterprise...

TMP refit as designed by Richard Taylor and Andy Probert. In my opinion, the most beautiful ship ever!! The only thing to make it better would have been to give the nacelle caps a glow or something. I missed the effect of TOS Enterprise...the black caps were boring.

How Sharper Than A Serpent's Tooth vs. The Infinite Vulcan

I would think slave labor -- like Ra used in Stargate...:-) But, had they used the Kukulkhan legend correctly, Ku could have been a humanoid that could either project or take the form of the feathered serpent -- and then, problem solved! :-)

How Sharper Than A Serpent's Tooth vs. The Infinite Vulcan

You don't have to use limbs to control a ship...mind link technology would work just fine...

Why was Pike's wheelchair in "The Menagerie" so Poor ?

Pike's brain would have been a prime candidate for running the heating plants and air purifiers on the Imorg planet! LOL!!

David Goyer to write new "Superman" movie

I agree! I think she looks GREAT!

ST:TMP - Lost Footage from the Trench

Well, it seems some people here are into verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry delayed gratification. I talked to Curt McAloney about this "footage" since at least as far back as 2007. If I recall correctly, he was supposed to have acquired the footage from a "film collector" (Alchemist...

ST:TMP - Lost Footage from the Trench

I can only say, were it in my possession, it would have been out there for the fans to have seen a long time ago.

We're never going to see it. I've given up all hope. *sigh*

How different would things have been if TOS had been made in the 70s?

Re: How different would things have been if TOS had been made in the 7 1. A lot more of that "wockety wockety wockety" sound in the musical score. 2. There would have been an episode with a cantina scene in it. 3. The sets would have looked like the sets in Buck Rogers. 4. They might have...

asteroid might hit the earth tomorrow

The object is only 33 feet across...not big enough to cause any damage -- unless you are walking down the street and it happens to fall on you. Or your house or place of business. That might smart.
