June Challenge Entry - "To Simply Exist"

It became predictable only because it was the Bluefin who found them. This might not have ended well had they encountered a different ship. Very well done.

    June Writing Challenge: God's Tears

This could be suggesting that the Zniathians and other races owe their existence to the Federation or that parts of the Federation exist somewhere somehow. Well done. I liked it and understood it even without knowing the planet or ship. I suggest that using such a well known ship actually...

I have boots for sale if any of you need them. Don't want you getting your shoes dirty with the muck piling up around here.:alienblush:

    USS Kestrel - Hunting Grounds

That little scene with Ensign Cutler was all need to certify this captain as a dangerous self righteous fool. While he obviously "get's the job done" he should not be trusted with anything other than a bathtub boat.

    Star Trek: Steel-Edged Grace - 1: "Excalibur"

Reminds me of an old StarFleet Battles scenario.

The TNG Relaunch - My version

cynical She is playing her own game, which may or may not be valid. I doubt she was supporting Picard, that was simply a lucky accident for Picard. /cynical Fascinating story, I may need a large white board to diagram the convoluted inter-connected plots. NTP

    USS Kestrel - Hunting Grounds

Well! This should be interesting. This is a significant challenge you have set. I'm looking forward to reading it. BTW This BBS has several StarTrek alien smilies but where is the Gorn? My favorite StarFleet Battles race. NTP

ST: Independence - "Beneath the Raptor's Wings"

Again the tension builds, some decisions are made and the orders given cause confusion in a junior officer. Possibly the worst damage down by hidden conflicts, such as Section 31 vs everyone else, is increased confusion and suspicion sapping the energy of everyone. This "final" battle will be...

ST: Independence - "Beneath the Raptor's Wings"

Needs low volume theme music in a minor key, just to make everyone slightly more tense.

Star Trek: Daedalus - 1x01 - New Frontiers...

Hmmmm I'll watch this one. It felt 'sloppy' in the middle but tightened up nicely. Perhaps that was simply me attempting to understand the Captain. Interesting character, you've set yourself a challenge. :cardie:

For readers/authors: where would you serve?

Oh, dear, I'm afraid I killed this thread. Sorry. NTP

For readers/authors: where would you serve?

Nothing big, at least at that time. I spent 4 years, May 1982 to June 1986, working in Somalia. The Halba 1 and 2 camps near Luuq (2 1/2 years), the National Leprosarium (6 months trying to set up a farm with the patients), loaned like a library book to the UN to reorganize a camp in the north...

For readers/authors: where would you serve?

Jumping into the deep end, as new reader. Based on my real life background I would have been a worker in one of the Cardassian refugee camps. :( Picking a ship, with my personality, I'd go either Bluefin or Gibraltar. NTP
