    Another new game in development

There is some interesting modding/updating going on with the game which will hopefully make it more accessible and smoother to play on current PCs. Yes, it is primarily strategy/tactical based but there are missions that provide character and story!

    Your K-DRAMA thread

I binge-watched 'Mask Girl' on Netflix: sooo good :adore: . I either don't recall or don't care about a single male character. Because it wasn't about them

News Star Trek: Voyager Documentary Filming Soon

Although I think DS9 is the better series, I'm more likely to contribute to a VOY doc

    Dune 2018 (19,20,21...)

the CoD miniseries didn't have Idaho with ghola silver/metal eyes. I'm hoping not mis-remembering

    Dune 2018 (19,20,21...)

new comparison version with the SF tv series...and unsurprisingly it doesn't work as well visually

    Dune 2018 (19,20,21...)

DV Dune looks and feels to me lke an epic streaming show. It's always been so.

    Dune 2018 (19,20,21...)

BW film has never been a 'oh..wow!!!' property. If Marvel believed in it, they should have commited sooner

    Dune 2018 (19,20,21...)

CoD really improved. I almost think/hope McAvoy (who is an acknowledged Dune fan) might return?

    Dune 2018 (19,20,21...)

Agree but three versions perhaps muddling?. Other than this, Lynch vs SciFi? SciFi vs Villeneuve? There are aspects of the TV series I like, especially the longer time given to story. The special effects are a minor improvement over Lynch film. But a lot of the prod design/costume choices...

    Dune 2018 (19,20,21...)

I did enjoy this comparison between Lynch and Villeneuve visions :luvlove: (I love both) They could have easily stunt-cast Kyle as Duke Leto but glad they didn't

    Dune 2018 (19,20,21...)

That's the point :). I think a thimble with a big-ass needle is pretty fucking dramatic and just curious. But hey, if they wanted to change it, works for me :techman:

    Dune 2018 (19,20,21...)

I'm just going to be boringly literal re: the music, but I thought the sun (son?)/desert eclipsed by the moon (with the shadow) was rather poignant and perhaps a nod back to series roots? I loved the trailer. And while I thought they got the personal shield shimmer better than the Lynch...

News Chadwick Boseman has died of colon cancer

It wouldn't surprise me if knowing both his potentially limited time and importance to young fans (and as a director himself), he had arranged to film a transition. That will be so moving when we get to see it :weep:

Alexander Siddig Zoom Community Featuring Andrew Robinson!

What I love about these is the synergy between actors and writers. The writer(s), as in original series, provide great context/drama/humour - but the actors bring their words to life and on a long-form series have as much proprietary right as the writers ISB partly addresses this here:

@cooleddie74 - I agree about Sid's performance. The moment he started, I thought 'wow, he's just slipped back into Julian's cadences and mannerisms'. I really hope he can get Colm on at some point :adore:
