    Playmates Toys

I've heard rumblings Diamond Select may have picked up the ship license again. Playmates said last year around this time they were going to focus on ships and role play items, but I suspect that line is completely dead given there's been no announcements at all since Playmates cancelled the...

News Variety Reports Robert Pattinson is the new Batman

Colin Farrell was great in In Bruges, which got him a Golden Globe award. Matt Reeves is a very talented director, so I'm confident he can direct a good performance out of him. I'm not worried at all.

    "Tenet" - 2020.. Nolan's new mindbender

The film deals with time manipulation, so it is probably more that than a digitally simulated world.

The X-Men Cinematic Universe (General Discussion)

Yeah, I get it. (And why did I think you or someone else was going to be nitpicky and mention that?) I mention the word "reboot" loosely. Star Trek rebooted the Star Trek film franchise, which was dead after Star Trek Nemesis. Yes, it didn't reboot them wholesale narratively speaking, but it...

The X-Men Cinematic Universe (General Discussion)

Huh? How are those situations comparable? Star Trek rebooted itself (i.e. created an alternate timeline) after one film and then in the very next one featured Khan. Here, the series was semi-rebooted with X-Men: First Class eight years ago. Now, three films later, we're getting a new version of...

The X-Men Cinematic Universe (General Discussion)

I actually think Mystique is going to die. If you watch the trailer closely some clues and hints are given. There is a funeral where Charles, Hank, Storm, and Cyclops are present. It is raining. Then, Charles and Hank (while in the same outfits and wet) have a conversation at a table and Hank...

Warner bros announce superhero films through 2020

I didn't forget those reports, and I doubt others did either. For what it is worth, there were executives at Warner Bros. that did want to fire him after the critical reception to Batman v Superman. According to TheWrap, production was too far along with Justice League to fire Snyder at the...

Warner bros announce superhero films through 2020

The information I received comes directly from someone who works at WB. So the information I have is, for all intents and purposes, factual. Of course, I don't expect any of you to believe that. It is ultimately my word. Some of this board who I have known since I've been a member in 2001 know...

Same old Christopher. Nothing ever changes, huh?

Warner bros announce superhero films through 2020

I was saying he was fired on these forums over a year ago. Many of you attacked me for simply reporting what I heard at the time. I'm not pointing fingers, but Snyder was fired long before he officially departed the project. I've known this as fact for a year now, and I was wondering when...

Thanks, Turtletrekker. I really appreciate that.

    WB's Justice League 2017 movie pre-discussion thread

For what it is worth, I didn't bring up the tragedy until people started personally attacking me. When news of what happened first broke, the only thing I added was that it was devastating and that my sincerest condolesences were with the Snyder family. Additionally, the Snyder's didn't come...

I almost forgot why I avoided these boards for so long. Thanks for the reminder.

    WB's Justice League 2017 movie pre-discussion thread

dodge, I'm not saying the Snyder's did that. I am saying it was the studio's attempt to cover up the fact that they wanted to replace Snyder and didn't want a public backlash. After the divisive and polarizing response to the last three DCEU movies (this was before Wonder Woman opened), the last...

    WB's Justice League 2017 movie pre-discussion thread

I've read the whole article. Mark Hughes, who is a friend of mine, brings up interesting points. I don't necessarily agree with all of them, but I also understand where he is coming from. Also, without getting petty, it is amusing getting a lecture about nitpicking from you, Christopher, as I...

    WB's Justice League 2017 movie pre-discussion thread

It was a total PR move. Do you guys believe everything you read in the press? I'm not trying to tout what happened as #FakeNews, but in a way it was. Unfortunately, I can't really validate my point further, so you'll have to take what I am saying at face value. Of course, none of you are...

    WB's Justice League 2017 movie pre-discussion thread

I didn't have a chance to read the entire article, nor did I think everyone was going to be nitpicky about it. I chose it because it was one of the only articles I could find from a reputable source that had an accurate timetable for the reshoots. Alternatively, Jett from Batman-on-Film (which...

    WB's Justice League 2017 movie pre-discussion thread

Mark Hughes is a big Snyder fan, so he's not always unbiased. For every article saying "Snyder's work is not being redone", I can share just as many saying it will. Trust me, the hiring of Elfman and the firing of Holkenberg should be a red flag that this is no longer a Zack Snyder movie.

    WB's Justice League 2017 movie pre-discussion thread

Forbes reports Whedon is doing 7-8 weeks of reshoots. That's a long time for "additional filming". That is essentially 2 months, and the length of most feature-length film shoots. I think it is safe to say Whedon is redoing most of Snyder's work.
