List Only! Last Star Trek Episode You Watched

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. A flawed but likable entry. My second favorite Enterprise after TMP. Shatner lit this film very effectively.

    Unpopular Trek opinions game

I couldn't agree more. FC has a strong setup and conclusion with very little in between.

Simon Pegg on The Future of Star Trek

Chris Pine is a good actor. His Kirk was a different character than the Kirk we saw in TOS or the Kirk that Gary Mitchell described as a book with legs. It's not fair to compare the two.

Star Trek Picard is not Star Trek

Spock is a renaissance man with a great love of earth's cultural heritage. The Bible, Shakespeare, Sherlock Holmes, he reads them all.

Star Trek Picard is not Star Trek

The funny thing is you can find dozens of Biblical allusions throughout the various Star Trek series. Spock compares tribbles to the "lillies of the field which neither toil or spin". Harry Mudd quotes the Bible when he tells the androids that "human beings do not survive on bread alone". The...

Game Star Trek A to Z

A is for the Enterprise-A, IE the one we saw in the two last TOS movies. B is for Borg Balls. C is for Borg Cajones, aka Borg Cubes. D is for Borg Dicks, in that they're all dicks. OK, they're victims, but let's face it, they're all dicks. E is for emotions. Borg drones don't have them, which is...

    Where should I start?

Q Who was the episode of TNG in the second season where Q brought the Enterprise into Borg space. After almost being overtaken Q returns the Enterprise to Federation space. After that episode the Federation had to prepare for an enemy that they were not prepared to face again. It gave the series...

    Where should I start?

I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I watched The Jem Hadar when it premiered in Spring 1994. That show promised to do for DS9 what Q Who(the first Borg show) did for TNG. It promised to take the show into a whole new direction for the following season and enlarge the DS9 universe.

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. This Star Trek film may the one that has grown on me the most throughout the years. For all its plot holes I find it to be one of the most gripping and polished Star Trek films. I think Nicholas Meyer's direction is excellent and he shot the interior of...

    Picard: "Just Like Other Sci-Fi"

I agree with this, and I'm not the biggest fan of First Contact. I thought Picard's Captain Ahab breakdown came out 6 years too late. It was manufactured for that movie and I never bought it. Just like I never bought that it took someone from the 21st century to talk him down. Dr. Crusher and...

    The Enemy Within: new observations

You're right. She wasn't ditzy. Although she was a caring and intelligent woman she also was extremely impulsive and short-tempered. Kirk dodged a bullet when she embarked on another ship.

    Where should I start?

Watch Necessary Evil. It's not the pilot but it could be since it shows how Odo met Kira, Dukat, and Quark and it's good film noir. Then you could watch season 2 finale, The Jem Hadar, and just plunge into season 3. If you do that you might want to skip Equilibrium, Meridian, and Fascination.

Star Trek Picard is not Star Trek

That's a fair criteria to ask of any television show or film. Viewers have a right to demand good set up, story logic, and consistent characterization. That's where the discussion should be, not whether this is true Star Trek or not, because none of us can agree exactly what that is.

    Revisisting "Revisiting TOS"

While I'd switch a few episodes around in your rankings your analysis is spot on. Season 1 was pretty amazing. I just rewatched it and even some of the weaker episodes, like Return of The Archons, have a commendable weirdness and a palatable atmosphere. In Season 2 I see some Star Trek becoming...

    Revisisting "Revisiting TOS"

Justice is by far an inferior episode.

    Is STAR TREK Inherently Dark?

TNG did a few dark shows like Q Who and Chain Of Command but most of the shows were vanilla lite so what you were left with was Shades Of Grey.

    Revisisting "Revisiting TOS"

I'm glad to see The Apple at the bottom of every one's season 2 rankings. That was one talk-a-computer-to-death/planet of bad-blonde-wig-natives too many!

    Spielberg won't do Indy 5
