There were a few easter eggs in the form of lines from previous episodes and similar. The scene where (fake) Janeway dies was reminiscent of Dinobot in Code of Hero from Beast Wars. Quite a few scenes are really triggering flashbacks to things I've seen elsewhere either being homaged or ripped...
The way the finale is building, the event of the wedding being a joyous event and all eyes on Discovery, I have a vibe that it will all be marred by sorrow with Saru dying.
The meeting with the Breen seems the obvious way, but I fear it will be something else that causes the wedding to not go...
Thanks for the reply, don't worry about merging threads, I was not sure if this would or should be as a standalone but figured I'd post and let modmins determine how it should go.
Hello folks, long time lurker and sometimes infrequent poster on the Picard forum.
With it being mental health awareness week, I wanted to share my own story of events that recently (well not this year but since Covid) caused me to very nearly take my own life. I am in a much better place now...
This was my take on it as well, just before he is in the 2020s in season 2 and his powers go, he could have jumped forward to see Jack. Keep in mind his powers work just fine in the end credits scene, he could have jumped back then and realised he is screwed.
Or for all we know season 2 takes...
In First Contact when the timeline was changed, The E was still in the past, despite the future it came from not existing so I think The Borg Queen's theory over a timeline never existing erasing someone in the present is flawed.
the only way I've found to square that circle is that they want to study him to understand HOW it happened to make sure it doesn't happen again, if they kill him they do not understand it and lack the ability to adapt to it, which is the Borg's MO
Ok my take on all this.
Picard having his DNA re-written is explicitly mentioned in BOBW II, once he was back aboard the Enterprise. This was being done by the Borg and implied his assimilation was ongoing. I think this was a deliberate back up plan to create an organic receiver in him in the...
Lest we forget the "artifact" with the XXXX days since an assimilation. This could be the final incident whereby the Romulans encountered the Borg whereby they captured the cube putting the dates about right for a decade.
Now we know that this has been a long game for the Borg and Picard could hear them in his mind in ST:FC, who else knew?
Consider that Picard's body was kept by S31 as they/Soong had worked out that his brain had been altered. When do you think that they realised this? It is possible that when...
This is exactly my fear, the episodes are not yet released and everywhere is spoilers for them and I am struggling to know where to have a conversation about theories and things to watch back and where is blatant images being leaked. Surely if the episode has not yet been released and there is...
I think the door is a gateway to the Devron system and opening it is what creates the anti-time anomaly and the tachyon beams were just part of it. A parting gift from Q as Picard now has to try to stop the doorway from being opened and creating the same anomaly he warned all his crew about all...
The way Lore was tossing those memories over his shoulder and they were vanishing but later revealed to have been integrated into Lore has me worried they will all get muddled up, Lore will have images of Tasha Yar laying down being stroked and petted by Data, while poor ole Spot....well we know...
I was expecting a lot more than a passing reference where she doesn't even get mentioned by name or importance. I'm guessing by not doing this and changing the pose used, is this even credited as the same character as the original writer gets no royalties if it is vague enough and not mentioned...
As much as I am a huge Tasha Yar fan, I cannot see how they can cameo her as she currently looks nearly 40 years later after her death without messing up continuity or making it seem plausible....
UNLESS.....
They have Armus absorbing the life energy ala Stargate Wraiths of everyone he ever...
The evidence we have so far is that this doesn't appear to be a standard "solid" ala humanoid lifeform, the changelings keep waxing lyrical about hating solids so I cannot see them bowing down to one and doing their bidding as a means to achieve the exact same goal.
The face is likely to be...
Totally agree, this episode was built up so much and yet all we learn is a bit of Vadic's backstory with WHY she hates the federation, but nothing that actually connects the event to now and why only now she is going rogue. We found out nothing about the floating head boss and see no more than...
