To bring some confusion to the party here, and I know that this is a completely silly idea, but, the drawing for the Voyager's main engineering (the one available at EAS) shows the lighted strip on the floor extending both "forward" and "aft" of the warp core... What if the main engineering on...

Some years ago, Tales of the USS Bluefin got me hooked on Trek fan fiction. I generally didn't read fanfics before, I've read a lot of them since, and I still consider these stories to be among the best. And I am very, very happy that we got another Bluefin tale :) TLR, this was a lovely story...

I could be seeing it wrong, but, isn't it, in fact, quite symmetrical? A tall ring in the back, and a raised "snake head" in the front?

Looking real good! :) Something I am curious about... The Ent-C bridge is a redress of the small bridge set, isn't it? Presumably, at some point, the Enterprise-C would have been the "hero ship", with a large, hero ship bridge... What if this some kind of a battle bridge / aux. control room...

They call Star Trek "Звёздный путь" (Zvyozdny Put') in Russian, the "star" part being in the language's equivalent of genitive case, hence the different form. The linguistics of slavic languages can be somewhat complex on such occasions...
