Spoilers Star Trek: Strange New Worlds 2x02 - "Ad Astra Per Aspera"

loved this episode. Right up there with TNG's Measure of a Man. The only thing I didn't like: Given Starfleet officers' penchant for memorizing and citing Starfleet regulations and laws that pertain to them, I'm surprised none of the crew came up with the amnesty angle. I can overlook it...

    Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

The evolution - literally - of Saru is a highlight of the show IMHO.

    Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

A valid criticism. I enjoy Discovery despite it's flawed storytelling, and I do think it got better as it went on.

    Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

There is a small but very vocal group of people in any fandom who seem to truly believe that if they don't like something, no one else should, and if they rate something higher/lower than you do and you disagree, you must be an idiot. Personal preference is just that - personal. Enjoy whatever...

What's a good Star Trek Game?

Does anyone here play Star Trek Fleet Command? Anyone here in Server 27 (Potemkin)?

Spoilers Star Trek: Picard 3x09 - "Võx"

Completely agree. It was the inability to reason, or even talk, with them (when we first met them) that sent chills down my spine.

I guess they learned nothing from alternate historical documents.

First Contact Day, April 5th 2023

Happy First Contact Day everyone! I was born on April 6, 1963. That means the actual First Contact Day will be the day before my 100th birthday. I have already told my family and friends that I expect there to be Vulcans at my party.

    Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

I've blocked so many people on Twitter for trying to be Trek gatekeepers. You don't like Disco? Cool, you do you. But as soon as tell me I shouldn't like it, you're blocked. I love Disco, not just because it ushered in a Trek renaissance, but in its own right.

Spoilers Star Trek: Picard 3x07 - "Dominion"

I could be wrong, but given that Vadic was whistling "pop goes the weasel" and referenced her time on Daystrom Station, I thought it was Lore directing her. He likely saved, and is now using, the surviving Founder prisoners. I am having a difficult time figuring out what Jack's origin/role is.

STAR TREK: STARFLEET ACADEMY Series Begins Production in 2024

I'm looking forward to this. If it's a Tilly-centric show it'll be quirky and fun.

Welcome Fellow Trekkies! The GTD Get to Know You thread

 @ the Janeway comment Zapp. I love that, while you don't care for Disco, you're cool with others enjoying it. I see too many gatekeepers on twitter and elsewhere pontificate on what is "true Trek". If you like it all Trek, cool. If you like most, or some, or just a little, cool. You're a...

Absolutely, Haddie. It's the underlying optimism and belief in the innate goodness of people that brings me back every time.

TNG fans please identify yourselves ...

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum but not to Trek. I started watching TOS during its first run in syndication in the late 60's/early 70s. In elementary school I'd hang out with my older brother and his friend during lunch, and they'd plays Star Trek, acting out episodes. I'd tag along and was...
