I am prepared to not like S31 very much, however, I have not and will not watch the trailers to avoid predetermination. The few previews and images I've seen are shall I say, fascinating. Not always in a good way. Why does every version of Star Trek have to have a version of the dumb Star Wars...
Looks really cool!
But, I wouldn't want to actually use it with all the workings so close to me. There's a reason why the working part of a gun is out beyond the grip. On the other hand, if this thing blows, I guess that extra distance doesn't really matter - that'll be one big KABOOOM!
So, Follow the yellow brick road....?
Not impressed. Watched cuz it was star trek, been watching since TOS was 1st run. The Disc series is better than Pic, but these 2 are my least favorite of all trek.
I would guess that he stays with the crew as an underling and advances through the ranks to become chief at a later date. He's a Lieutenant now, and a Lieutenant Commander in TOS...
I never liked coca-cola. Pepsi or RC when I was younger. But mostly I drank Dad's Root Beer. Now that I'm old and sugar is a concern I have to go diet even though I dislike aspartame and all those fake sugars. So I am now a Diet Dew guy (it has real orange juice). Dew zero ain't so good (and no...
Today, we know of an FBI, a CIA, a KGB etc. Do we know what groups they may employ as secret organizations? Anybody remember Clint Eastwood's movie Magnum Force? A secret group of vigilantes in the police force. Only those involved knew about them. That's how I envision Section 31 - a secret...
Why would he give Khan access to the entire ship's library? Seems like a huge breach of security for any unknown person, let alone someone who he already suspects?
I used my old cards for bookmarks and grocery lists etc.
So has anybody heard any news yet on the timing of the next season? I can't seem to find any good info.
In 1965, 1999 was several years in the future. In 2016 it was way back in the past. Today, it's even farther back. I generally just look at specific Trek dates as relative to the date of the original airing of the show - in the recent past, the far past, the near future or the far future. That...
Close to one of the best, but not enough for a perhaps? I consider a few of the other SNW episodes better, and several TOS episodes were better. It might be in the top ten overall though. Certainly beats out any TNG, Ent, DS9, or Voy episodes.
Which finger do I cut off? ? ? tough call here.
Charades is the least memorable of this bunch for me. so...
Children of the Comet - 0
Memento Mori - 1
Under the Cloak of War - 0
Charades - 1
I'm not sure he's being indecisive. He clearly has several bad to horrible options to choose from, he's trying to find the most advantageous approach out of a multitude of possibilities. He is probably also trying to come up with a non-fleet-approved tactic on the fly....
In my view there were good and "less good" episodes in both seasons. More good in season 1 and more "less good" in season 2, so season 1 wins for me, but not by much.
Not sure which episode is my favorite, too many good ones.
Old Scientists* and the musical were by far the "least good"...
