    Batman: Caped Crusader (Prime Video)

Not for that reason in and of itself but because, as I mentioned, sometimes "other elements should take priority." Such as, indeed, the one you bring up.

    Batman: Caped Crusader (Prime Video)

It's a tricky topic. On the one hand, it is absolutely historically inaccurate. On the other hand, I think it's worth asking how much historical accuracy should be the end-all be-all and at what times other elements should take priority. Especially in a TV show about a bat-man fighting costumed...

Spoilers The Sandman grade and discussion

A third woman has come forward. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/s4-ep2-claire-i-ignored-it-and-i-believed-him-because/id1491575384?i=1000663604978 Apparently, he used autism as an excuse for grossly misreading the situation with her? :ack: Given how long there have been rumors about...

Spoilers Marvel Cinematic Universe spoiler-heavy speculation thread

Have they actually confirmed RDJ will be playing a Stark variant and not just Doom? I’m seeing a lot of chatter about that online but, from what I can tell, it’s people making assumptions and other people then running with those assumptions?

    DC Comics Ongoing Discussion

Exactly. The regular versions already exist. Hell, the regular Superman stars in not one but two separate titles and regular Batman in even more. What would even be the point of doing an alternate version if it's not wildly different? The only way this Absolute stuff will have legs if it...

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

Those Terrifics costumes translate really well to live action, huh? And if that team's an inspiration, it explains why Metamorpho, Guy Gardner, and Hawkgirl of all people are in this. Metamorpho because he was actually on the team, the other two because they're substitutes for members of the...

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

It's less a question of whether the trunks are iconic than whether iconic is valuable. "Iconic" is often just a fancy dress version of "traditional," and tradition is neither good nor bad but neutral. I think I've read that costume texture can also make certain kinds of VFX manipulation...

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

Pleasantly surprised at how faithful the Mr. Terrific costume is. I could've easily pictured someone deciding the whole "FAIR PLAY" thing was too cheesy for modern audiences. I think it's supposed to be some hi-tech nano adhesive thing? IIRC, it materializes on his face. What I'm getting it...

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

When I said that, I assumed you did mean the unpopulated regions of the Northeast corridor because I was taking it as a given that we were excluding places already populated. Your response told me you weren't, so I explained that I was and why.

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

If there are smaller cities there, the space is already occupied -- by those smaller cities. The way I see it, places like Metropolis exist in addition to real world locations, not in place of. And I think that was probably the thinking of the JLA/Avengers folks. Now I don't know if I'm...

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

It could work. Alan Moore had a lot of fun with it in Supreme, where the Krypto counterpart had a translator collar. Like the dogs in Pixar’s Up. Oh, yeah, I’m not saying the locations in the DC atlas work, either. There’s a reason most of the comics avoid reproducing those maps in favor of...

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

Gunn's a big fan of Tom King, who's been doing a bunch of stuff with the movie people (he even has a minder who accompanies him to interviews to make sure he doesn't accidentally spill anything), so it wouldn't surprise me. Though the call for a Krypto voice actor, um, suggests at least one...

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

That fits the first criterion and maybe the third but I have doubts about the second (located in a place it makes sense for a big city to actually exist). Unpopulated regions are unpopulated for a reason.

    Tales of the Tardis

I assume the episode takes place in the middle of Empire of Death, and once that airs it will be clear how and why the Doctor and Ruby wound up in a memory TARDIS. Given how clearly (IMO) this thing's set in media res, I'm surprised more people aren't automatically reaching that conclusion.

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

Sure, but where in the US would there be room for a city the size of Metropolis, in a location that would actually make sense as a place a large city would have developed *and* align with where its typically depicted as being located in stories?

    Superman

Like everything else, comedy can be done well or poorly. Though I think there's also an interesting conversation to be had about how adult fans have become more enthusiastic about comedy in superhero stories -- and indeed about how people in general have become more accepting of overt comedy...

    Marvel Animation’s X-Men ‘97 Discussion Thread.

In the comics, he keeps the momentum but can change the trajectory. He's saved himself from the momentum of plummets by teleporting to reverse his direction, causing him to fall upwards, allowing gravity to sap his momentum.

Surely, even if it wasn't true, they'd still say that. Wouldn't want to give away any twists.

The Sentinel did no longer detect him, but he was literally right next to a kid with the power to negate mutant powers when we last saw him.
