And the Next Cancelled Show is...

FX has cancelled English Teacher after two seasons. This one I did watch and mostly enjoyed.

"The ladder fell when he was all the way up." "There's an escaped gorilla in this area." "It's a landslide!" "We're trapped in a cave with some wild animal!" This is definitely the SHAZAM-o-verse. :rommie: At least there's a gorilla. Was it Carmine Infantino who said that book sales double...

    News? Stories from Dubious Sources

Just saw this too. Oy. If much of this ends up being true, it'll be a pretty lousy 60th anniversary announcement as far as I'm concerned. Some quotes from the above article from the reliably-dubious Cosmic Book News quoting the Tachyon Pulse Podcast: Acknowledging that Simon Kinberg's...

50th Anniversary Viewing (Part 2) The Secrets of Isis "The Show Off" Originally aired November 1, 1975 Steve is a distinct case of a twenty-something actor not being convincing as a teenager. And his titular situation didn't really play into the climactic gorilla angle at all...

News Exclusive: Scott Bakula Eyeing Star Trek Return In President Archer Series Pitch From ‘Enterprise’ Producer

...back the decision up. And in the case of Prodigy, it was already greenlit for a second season, which was close to completion when the cancellation announcement came down. Netflix swooped in because it was a guaranteed money maker for them at little cost to them. But regardless, even if no...

Spoilers Russell T. Davies Returns to Doctor Who as New Showrunner

That would be one way to help get back on track. Or will we be visiting old faces for our next Doctor? Could do worse, and couldn’t do much better.

Spoilers Russell T. Davies Returns to Doctor Who as New Showrunner

Hmm... Almost certainly nothing but Paul McGann was seen at Wolf Studios recently and has just cancelled his appearance at Gallifrey One in February due to 'work commitments'. EDIT: So he's actually going to be unavailable for conventions for the first half of next year, so looks like he's got...

I’m still bitter about the LDS cancellation.

I'm with Rich Evans. ST:TMP is the best Star Trek movie. Here's my brief review.

I don't know. As a first-generation fan, who grew up watching TOS during its original run on NBC and later in syndication, I wasn't comparing it to later Trek shows and movies back in the 1979, since all of those had yet to exist. And I still thought TMP, for all its virtues, felt more like...

    Jayru (JSnaith's) 3D Trek

Life is being a bitch at the moment, hence why I am all over the place with projects (3D, written, art)... Lack of focus is a real issue. Autism can mean I hyper focus on stuff - which you have all seen, but ADHD can make me as scatty as hell. I go through this, the wheel turns and Autism will...

    Jayru (JSnaith's) 3D Trek

If you can, try to get in touch with your inner OCD. I've seen you use it with the brilliant detail you put into these models - you definitely have it. Let it cancel out the ADHD and bring balance to your world. That's probably not how it works, but it's worth a shot anyway... :)

From now on one show at a time?

The evidence is that they almost didn’t have a season 5 because they were ready to cancel the show after season 4.

News The ongoing next Star Trek movie thread

I loved the Kelvin movies so much. But I knew it was over when this exact news broke the first time, five whole years ago. LINK. Paramount denied it, but it was pretty obvious. As much as we hoped otherwise.

    Your latest purchases, cont.

I got a new Blu-Ray copy of Disney's "The Three Musketeers" from Ebay, and "Fantastic Four: First Steps" on 4K from Wal-Mart. Sadly, I had to cancel my 4K pre-order for "The Mask" because my debit card got hacked. :(

News Exclusive: Scott Bakula Eyeing Star Trek Return In President Archer Series Pitch From ‘Enterprise’ Producer

To be fair, they did one time: the write-in campaign saved the original "Star Trek" from cancellation (well, m the first effort, second one failed).

I'm with Rich Evans. ST:TMP is the best Star Trek movie. Here's my brief review.

I was too young to appreciate it at the time... Especially the context of the time. No new live action episodes, I don't recall the animated series being repeated anything as often... it would be a big deal back then. The better look at the V'Ger vessel is the best thing about it. Sadly...

News New Game - Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown

it's on steam, Star Trek infinite. It did terribly and development was cancelled a few months after it released.
