The Gilroy brothers were not huge Star Wars deep fans, yet Andor was wildly successful. They had people on staff to make sure the show fit the world.
What matters is quality of writing, acting and obviously overall production. Acolyte was interesting, but it did have its flaws.
I'm in the middle of Quantumania, so far it's enjoyable.
L&T and The Marvels were solid A- movies for me, I honestly don't get the hate. Not every movie can be an Iron Man or Endgame in terms of success. And Black Widow was fantastic.
Just wish we were getting a second season of Moon Knight...
TLJ and RoS were very weak for Star Wars feature films.
Andor received much higher critical praise than Acolyte.
Acolyte wasn't a bad show, but it could have benefited from tighter writing and editing.
You always want someone who will respect the franchise and what came before, who is also a qualified Producer/Writer/insert title.
Filoni is an accomplished producer who's been with LucasFilm for 20ish years. He may be a fanboy but he's also a professional.
I got a new laptop for myself last year, I usually get a gaming laptop for the graphics card and RAM. So glad I didn't wait, It'd probably be hundreds more for basically the same equipment.
I watched about 25 minutes of the original Black Panther before I gave up. I forced myself to watch Eternals and I kept hoping it would get better. The end credits were better than the rest of the film.
I started Quantumania and it's interesting so far.
I didn't really care for Wanda's reality show part, it was cool the first time and gives us an insight into her state of mind, on rewatch i basically skimmed through it. When I first watched it I was almost completely new to the MCU, having only seen Iron Man and the first Avengers movie
I don't recall anyone by that description in Star Trek, unless it was in TOS.
Two possible candidates in Stargate: Oma Desala and Morgan LaFay, both 'ascended' Ancients.
I don't feel the need to fanwank every little decision made by the props department. Enjoy your suspension of disbelief hour and leave the rest of us alone :D (not you personally)
