...needs during wartime. It's why Picard, despite being in command of a Sovereign class ship, was relegated to diplomatic duty during the Dominion War.
Captain Tracey definitely is a hard one to beat in terms of a captain gone bad.
Most incompetent... honestly? If we are to include a...
And telling him they saved the best for last to sooth his ego, calling him a boy scout.:)
Boy scouts do not win wars, Siskos win wars.
If Pike was around in the 24th century in charge of DS9 the UFP would have lost to the Dominion.
And I love SNW Pike. TOS and Kelvin Pike seemed more soldier like
48 hours have passed, so "Dominion" is saved.
New round.
I simply cannot vote for a season 2 episode yet, because that season is the worst in the franchise. So that leaves me with trying to figure out which season 1 episode to vote for now.
Voting for "Et In Arcadia Ego, Part 1". It's...
I love DS9 more than any Trek series save for TOS, but yeah, agreed on Berman and Piller's original vision and gameplan for the series radically changing by the additions of the Dominion and Worf. Season 2 of the series is amazing.
...who made it, wanted it to be like. In season 3 they sort of moved away from Bajoran stuff and added the Defiant and then came Worf and the Dominion and eventually the Dominion War. All done, very well but it's not exactly the kind of show I think Berman and PIllar had in mind when they...
Despite being the weakest episode from S3, Dominion is still high above the rest.

Sticking with my original vote, nothing from the irredeemable season 3 deserves to be saved and I will hold the line despite the futility.

It is damage when good characters are wasted because it limits the content of good characters in a series.
There are many series who have been damaged by the loss of good characters, just look at the "re-born" CSI or CSI Vegas as the new version was called. All the excellent main characters...

A character design concept illustration I made of Beckett Mariner during the Dominion War for the upcoming third season of my fanfic EVA-Trek.
"Dominion" Any season three episode just blows the rest of these out of the water.

"Et in Arcadia Ego 1" again. Season 1 is my favourite, and this sets up a good finale.

...of a scoop of bland vanilla ice cream.
I did a proposed DS9 Season 8 that did some of these things. Most notable was Section 31 and the Dominion's equivalent joining forces, allowing Sloan to return as well. You can't have too much of an actor who managed to steal scenes from acting legends...

Voting for "Dominion". I like the episode, and no season 3 episode should win Most Disliked of PICARD.

...during the first half of the series, it's been about keeping the peace in the Alpha Quadrant while preparing for a possible war with the Dominion that they still hope to avoid.
Babylon 5 has the Earth-Minbari War in its recent history, and the Narn-Centauri War even further back, but it also...
...gained the Enterprise's new secondary hull. While the actual ship undoubtedly had a distinguished career, and likely saw action in the Dominion War, it will live on as part of the Enterprise legacy. In fact the entire Galaxy class itself will live on as part of her legacy as well.

I think the Romulans more became the default bad guys, with the Cardassians and Dominion as backup. The Klingons... well, they tried it, but the writers decided they were better as allies.
"Et in Arcadia Ego 1" as I think it is under appreciated.
