I would be curious to see this broken out by age. I grew up with TOS either on TV or VHS late 80s and early 90s. Despite reading many of the Trek novels, including the TMP one, and finding TUC one of my favorite films, I never warmed to TMP in terms of story. The long shots don't resonate to me...

...than the female lead in SNW and she knew how to stay with one guy.
SNW has had 3 seasons what real stakes kirk and spock faced and they have had more than 30 hours?
goofy jokes , cliche romance and now a puppet episodes are what I will see more as empty in what we expect from real star trek.
I disagree with many of your points. I think the casts of both Abrams Trek and SNW are both great but Abrams characterisation of the characters was poor, except for McCoy. There were a few magical moments where Pine oozed Shatner but for the most part he felt like a college bro's wish...
...even begin with Ethan Peck’s Spock, I think critics like TV guide and fans on reddit or comic forums tearing his character to shred for been a joke, a horny boy and a needy child is enough. All these things true though we see it on the show.
By star trek lore , I feel it will be the worst...
At this point, Glen Larson seemed to be making comic book shows and series like Manimal and Automan weren't so much trying be "science fiction" as much as they were attempts to be super-hero shows.
When Larson did the horrendous Nightman, Jonathan Chase from Manimal did a crossover, putting...

Jamie looked around as Mr. Elders gave a tour of the Solarium. “It looks more like a lair than a solarium.”
“Jamie!” Quinn said. “I don’t think so. Besides, an actual lair could be anything, like an office building or an ordinary house.”
“Lair? I suppose it could be,” Mr. Elders said...
You're a bad person and you should feel bad.
Joking. I hope you don't genuinely care whether other people disagree with your preferences in Trek.
Personally Deep Space 9 is my favorite, and I'm happy to elucidate why when there's genuine interest in my reasoning, but if someone disagrees with...
...of the episode though, which is interesting. The hosts are a good bit more professional too, so a lot less of the cringeworthy comments and jokes. The audio production is pretty good too, so it's usually not hard to listen to either.
I'll have to check out Cirroc's podcast sometime and see...
I'm like Orpha on -- always on the cover of O Magazine, when it comes to winning fart jokes. I lost what -- maybe twice in all these years?

But first here're the winners of the last contest..
@tharpdevenport wins the Best Fart Joke with:
That rare moment when Tuvok farts and you realize you can fart too and get away with it.
@tharpdevenport also takes home the...
...with the most cartoonish season finale cliffhanger of all time.
All with incidental music that's thankfully sparse as, when it's there, it's a joke. When it's not there, the story somehow improves by more than you'd reckon. Thankfully the material is that strong, reminding that this story...
...so you correct it now by having mostly women on the bridge? this is not realistic especially in a sometimes military setting
2. Chapel was a joke in TOS, her crush on spock was silly and laughable and it was even more painful that spock did not care for her like that, so they fix this by...
Jokes aside, Automan had in common what many pre-TNG series with fantastical elements had:
An interesting sci-fi/fantasy premise. In this case, the stated inspiration was Tron (the authors themselves stated so).
The premise was completely squandered on the most generic detective plots possible...
...showed in star trek beyond, it is like SNW characters are ageing backwards and Spock is the worst offender. he is a horny teenager and a joke.
I swear, I wish they had gotten chris pine for the tv show were we saw him every week as Kirk. I never knew chris pine had so much swag and charisma...
