The Most Disliked Episode of TNG, Finals - 2025 Edition...

I will do "Bloodlines." At least this episode serves as a kind of funny meta-joke, that the producers went to Patrick Stewart and asked what he wanted to wrap up before the series ended, and this random plot point was his answer, and then they were kind of stuck making this stupid sequel episode...

What is your opinion of season 3 as a whole?

My thoughts are similar, that was a nice post that took a little work. I am weary of Kirk. Enough.

    Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Same here. I can't do math in my head -- never really could. It has caused me terrible embarrassment, as well as a few jobs. My husband, the computer guy, is great at math, but struggles to find the right words and has terrible time management. So we work with our strengths: he does the...

    Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

I can't do basic addition without a calculator of some kind anymore or I get weird answers like 3+5 equalling 35 cause I forget to actually add the numbers God, I wish I was joking...but I'm not.

Barbara Eden on Why Jeannie and Tony Were Never Intimate: "She was an entity"

...(like using magic to make a knocking sound after his statement). . Obviously, but that was the character structure of the series--part of the joke / neverending conflict. It must be remembered that Samantha's relatives constantly disrespected and demeaned mortals--and not just Darrin...

    The Classic/Retro Pop Culture Thread

"I had to cross the road to pick them up. But first I had to buy some eggs. Or was it the other way around?" Looks like the Elders need to teach Billy a lesson about keeping house. Are the Elders implying that humans should not have domesticated wolves and bred them over thousands of years...

What is your opinion of season 3 as a whole?

I think the Metrons were brought in purely as a way to explain why the Federation in Arena know so little about the Gorn. I don't think they are going to kill La'an, I think they are going to erase her. Everyone knows her background and therefore it's silly that they aren't more fully briefed...

50th Anniversary Viewing (Part 2) Shazam! "Goodbye, Packy" Originally aired October 4, 1975 Bob Rose (Conlan Carter) and his young daughter, Kathy (Shannon Terhune), are enjoying an outing in the brush with Packy, the wolf that she's raised since she found him as a pup, while Kathy avoids...

What is your opinion of season 3 as a whole?

...power of dance. The Una stuff with Patton Oswalt was another WTF moment. She is this cool, collected officer, but Doug drives her wild? Why? The joke isn't funny. The only part of the episode I would watch again is the post credit scene with Peck & Oswalt going back and forth. Terrarium was...

...often surprisingly deep and dramatic for what's basically a parody concept, and Kizuna Five feels like an authentic Sentai, with lots of in-jokes for Sentai fans like the use of familiar locations and cameos by Sentai actors/characters. It's got some of the standard sophomoric, male-gazey...

I was hoping they'd have made a joke out of that connection with the song and her playing River

What is your opinion of season 3 as a whole?

Yeah, back to the "girl power" canard. That's a joke, and in poor taste at that. Come on, man, these two statements are separated, literally, by a couple of clauses. You contradict your own terms of argument continually. There's more "good heavy sci-fiction" - assuming that means "science...

Last thing you don't wanna discuss about Star Trek!

If it's the last thing we don't want to discuss, isn't that a thing we do want to discuss...? Anyway, Harry Kim not getting a promotion. Particularly when I was on Reddit for a bit it was like an obsession and a punchline to way too many jokes.

Deflection? I was just making a joke.

What is your opinion of season 3 as a whole?

...from Authority by citing shitty websites. That doesn't work, either. Pretending that JJTrek is well-written or thst the characters in it behave in any "professional" manner is an unfunny joke. TOS Chapel was a cipher. A placeholder for a character, defined by nothing more than mooning over...

The Naked Gun (2025) Teaser trailer

I don't know, which is why it had me so confused. Well, fair enough. I guess I found it more distracting than funny to the point that it kind of took me out of it. That was the only joke that did that though.
