Yeah, the sole reason we're mentioning Heroes is it's connected to that story.

We all expect it to be Skye, and have pretty much accepted that fact. But boy would it be a huge twist if it was Fitz or even Coulson himself.

I like the suggestion of Lola.

This is a major step down for Adrian, in in the cartoon a year back, he played Iron Man.

(He was also Hawkeye in Superhero Squad.)

Question? Could Tony Stark pull Betty Ross?

(In the 60s, Stark dated the Wasp, while she was "dating" Hank Pym.)

If Adrian is playing both men, then surely the girl is still gettable by either manifestation of the same actor?

Although would you really want to sleep with Rainman first rather than any other of Dustin's parts?

No, it's exactly like saying someone who (in his own words) spent centuries doing nothing but breaking rocks, knowing little of the other worlds jumped at the chance to experience them and fell in love with the first one he visited. After which it'd be impossible for him to learn of anything going on in the other realms, since he's stuck down here with is mortals.

I'm not saying the bloke was totally ignorant, just that Sif who's spent most of the last thousand years adventuring all over the cosmos and probably benefited from broader education by dint of being a member of the nobility, is *more likely* to clock Skye for what she really is.

That's assuming of course that her origin is even remotely alien. I just noted that the episode kept her separate from Sif while everyone else met her face to face and wondered if there was a deeper reason behind it.

Something else that comes to mind: the conversation near the start between Skye and Ward about Mike Peterson and how he should be handled from then onward. Ward's stated intentions on the subject...and then look what happened.

Ward got a very clear taste of what it's like to live in Mike's situation, thanks to Lorelei's actions, yes?

"Five Years Later" from Season 1. At the time I thought it was a justified choice because they wouldn't want to "spoil" the building Peter/Sylar confrontation in the normal era...but what we got in the season finale wasn't nearly as cool as what was implied to be happening behind that door....

Well, of course not. What we're actually shown is rarely as impressive as what we imagine we're not being shown.

Which, again, is like saying someone who hasn't experienced life in Africa has no idea what a giraffe or zebra looks like. Even miners know what they look like. They may never seen one in person, but saying they're utterly ignorant of anything other than rocks is just an incredibly stupid thing to say.

The guy was also knowledgeable enough to be a fucking professor, knew all about an ancient and powerful Asgardian staff as well as their lore, and so on and so forth.

Your theory (sorry, theories actually have facts to back them up; your utterly random guess) just doesn't hold up at all, and there's nothing that has even hinted at it on the show.

Look, Skye has been scanned in and out the arse with the most sophisticated SHIELD medical arse scanners that they have. If Sif would have "seen" something by looking at Skye, it would have required "Asgardian Vision" which can see things that arse-scanners cannot detect.

I cannot find anything on any wiki about Asgardian Vision. So I don't give credence to your theory.

    Heimdall.

    He watches all nine worlds.

It's a bit pissy if that's his job because he's the only one that can do that.

I felt the opposite. Her performance did seem a bit too stilted. For me, everything you said describes Elena Satine as Lorelei though.

You haven't watched 24 have you? Expecting this to be like 24, Lost, or Breaking Bad may be a bit much, but at least be like Orphan Black's pilot, which is interesting and fun instead of cheesy and boring.

The rule is that you can't insist that someone has to watch "something" unless you are willing to pay for and post DVDs of said something to the aforementioned someone you are henpecking.

This debate only works if Skye is Asgardian, no? Certainly someone from Africa knows what a Zebra is, but they don't know what a Kangaroo is.

Of course, this is not only assuming Skye is extraterrestrial, but assuming it's both immediately apparent and known to the Asgardians.

At first they didn't know the Biscuit was Asgardian until... Did they stab him with a fork, or am I thinking of something else?

Oh for goodness sake, I never suggested the ex-berserker was stupid, just that his knowledge of the nine realms would be considerably less (to say nothing of out of date) than Sif's. Yes he's a professor. Of history. EARTH history which he knows so much about because for the most part, he lived through it.

All I'm doing is wondering aloud if they (the show makers) kept them apart on purpose or of it's just a coincidence. THAT'S ALL.
More or less. Or just some particularly well travelled Asgardians. It could be as subtle as some very slight imperfection or twitch in a Skrull's disguise that she's seen before, or it could be as simple as she flat out recognises her face as part of the Shi'Ar dynasty. There are numerous possibilities.

Or it could be because the two actresses had a schedule conflict and couldn't both be on set the same day, so they wrote around it.

Well, Skye was tied to a bed. They would more or less have to go out of their way to justify having them together in a scene. Given that, I'm not attributing anything suspicious to it.

There are a lot of ways Lady Sif could plausibly detect a disguise, but there are also lots of plausible reasons she wouldn't - even in your scenarios that she's a Skrull or Shi'Ar. Given that, I don't think one would have to even purposely keep them separate in order to ensure Skye's secret remains a secret. Lets keep in mind that Lady Sif doesn't know everything that happens in the universe or else she would have known a Kree came to Earth and that the Kree has the power to regenerate humans.

They don't? Then why the fuck do you know what either is? I'm sure you're not simultaneously from Africa and Australia, after all. (Jesus Christ...)

Yeah, cause Thor, who is unquestionably "well-traveled" was all about noticing when he was dealing with Skrulls or other disguised aliens. I mean, that whole Skull invasion story arc a while back? Didn't happen, cause Thor showed up and was all, "Oh hey, all these people are Skrulls." Or maybe it did happen and Thor was just being a dick about it, not telling anyone about the "slight imperfections" he noticed in people he encountered every day while hanging out with his Avenger buds on Earth.

Sorry, but this stupid non-theory is, in fact, a stupid non-theory. The only thing you even remotely have is some weird non-evidence paranoia on your part. (Which, as a hint, isn't evidence whatsoever.)

Or, far more likely, they just didn't encounter each other because Skye was still stuck in bed while Sif had no reason whatsoever to visit the sickbay, as Alidar Jack pointed out.

Or what, everyone is supposed to meet everyone in every episode or else they're an alien in disguise?

Odin sacrificed one of his eyes (to appease a higher power) for omniscience, or so legend says.

What I meant earlier is that Heimdall might have gone through a process/upgrade/training which any Asgardian could go through/endure if they chose to... But most don't.
