Hello. I'm new here. I'm thirty, live in Illinois with my husband and our two cats. My husband and I are both huge nerds, but I'm more about books and my husband is more about sciencey nerdery. Aside from Star Trek, I'm really into Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, Ghostbusters, and Firefly.

    Hi Dynania and Captain Shade.

When you say Ghostbusters, do you mean the films or cartoons? Either way, Egon is my favourite.

Hello one & all, just joined and enjoying having a nosey around the forum.

My earliest memories of Trek are being read some novels to me by my granddad in the early eighties. I seem to recall the first episode I ever saw was The Gamesters of Triskelion, but my memory isn't what it was and quite often it isn't of what was either. :)

I've just finished Enterprise which was the first time I've ever seen it all the way through. Seasons 3 & 4 really are very good. Will be going through the movies next having just upraded to the bluray versions, it may take a while as I watch a lot of DVD's, in a random , but don't watch TV, except sport 'live'.

Also started reading some of the early Trek books. They are of variable quality, most have had something to sustain my interest and some really capture the Kirk-McCoy-Spock trinity.

Outside of Trek,, my real name is Stuart and I live in Bristol in the UK and, for my sins, I work for UPS. I'm a Liverpool FC fan and don't get up there as often as I would like.

I joined back on August 21 2012, but never introduced myself according to my list of subscribed threads. This would be my 63th post, making me a very slow poster.

Anyway, I was born by the time TOS was being aired and I remember watching the shows sparingly and liking them, but enjoying other shows better. I may say that I like Star Trek, but I don't craze over it. My favorite series is Enterprise, yeah I know, an unpopular opinion; and my least favorite is TOS to the shock of some here. I have not watched the entirety of Star Trek, so that may change.

    Hello!
I'm new here but I've watched all Star Trek series and movies at least once, except for the fan produced stuff. I'm currently working my way through ENT for the second time, and I've been disappointed with the first couple seasons, but it is getting better now in the third. I remember liking it the first time through, but maybe that was the third and fourth season making up for the first two. My favorite is probably Voyager but I think that might be because that is the series that got me hooked. It was the first series I really watched. I love pretty much everything except the two new movies though. I just don't care for J.J. Abrams style I guess.

Welcome, MikeyO. Some fan produced stuff can be excellent. You should give New Voyages/Phase II a try.

    Greetings.

I joined a few days ago.

I'm fifty-five-years of age and have been a fan since watching the original series as a kid with my face practically pressed against the screen.

I'm looking forward to getting to know other fans of Star Trek. :)

    I am here to serve.

Sometimes I like to do things that are legal in some places now, and mess around with a weird idea using a blunt instrument like MSPaint. Then I wonder if it's funny to anyone besides me. This seems like a good place to try this one.

    Hi everyone!

I'm Olivia; I'm 20 years old and--SURPRISE--a huge Star Trek fan. I love all incarnations of Trek, although DS9 is my all-time favorite, and I'm also very partial to TNG. :) I'm also a physics undergraduate student with high hopes of eventually going into Aero/Astro Engineering--hopes that were in no small part inspired by my lifelong love of Star Trek.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better, and it's great to be here!
    Cheers~
    Olivia

Welcome Olivia, I'm fairly new here myself. Find it both depressing & brilliant that their are now Trek fans almost half my age. :) It must be how TOTOS (the original The Original Series ;) ) fans must have felt about us Johnny-come-lately's in the eighties, and if it is how they feel then that's mainly feeling old. :D
