Which Hulk Movie is Canon in the "Avengers" World? No Spoilers!

Yeah, Stark will obviously take over an Avengers movie if that ever happens. They should call it Iron Man and Friends.

 

Hey, I know this is an old thread, but i've found it after a VERY long search on the web for an official list of the MCU canon comics (without luck) and found Eduardo's post.
I want to ask you how can you tell which ones are canon and which are'nt? Because besides the stamp, which is not on all of them, I can't find a way do differ between the canon and non-canon. (My question reffer to the single comics and the collected TPB as well).
For example there is "Captain America - The Winter Soldier: Infinite" that came out in january and "Captain America - Homecoming" coming out in march and it says that both of them are "CA - The Winter soldier" prequels, but how do I know which is canon? One of them? Both of them? How can YOU tell?

Well, the only one of the above that has been out-right contradicted by the movies is the Thor story in "Captain America and Thor: Avengers", which included incompatable versions Malekith and Kurse.

Most of these comics are available to read on YouTube.

 

So, does this mean we now have to make a distinction between the final scene scenes, the mid-credits scenes, and the post-credits scenes. Because when I saw the Avengers I caught the mid-credit scene but the cleaning people kicked me out after that and it wasn't until Christopher informed me on this board that I realized there was a POST credits scene--not just the MID credits scene.

Do people feel the POST credits are more important than the MID credits scenes or are the MID credit scenes designed to be more revealing?

I think I also missed the POST credit scenes in Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America because I only ever saw the MID credit scenes--do I need to go back and find these important missing scenes?

 

There were no mid-credit scenes in IM2, Thor or CA:TFA, only end of credits.

The Incredible Hulk didn't have one at all as the director opted to place the stinger at the end of the movie proper, which is the source of the very silly misunderstanding in the post you quoted.

 

I was being silly too. The only scene I actually missed had to do with Schwarma--but since Thor had two scenes I imagine this will be standard now.

 

As suggested upthread, can we just call them "stingers" for simplicity's sake? What matters isn't when they occur, what matters is what they are.

And seriously, the cleaning people kicked you out of the theater? I've never known that to happen. They don't have any business making someone leave before the film is actually over. You should've complained to the management.

 

You need to see some films in developing countries. Normally they just end the movie before the credits finish to fit more shows in. Since normal movie credits are about ten minutes long the theatre can fit at least one extra showing in a day.

And I was just being silly, exaggerating the argument for effect. I don't want to reignite that long debate.

 

Well, if they weren't developing, how could they have films? We'd be stuck watching the negatives!

When I was a kid, being in the photography club developing film was one of the few ways a nerdy guy had a chance of getting lucky!

 

I think I walked in on someone getting lucky in a darkroom once.

I'm not 100% sure, it was really dark.

 

When I was in high school, the graphic arts/design classroom actually had two darkrooms. With all the machinery and chemicals you'd have expected Carl Kolchak or Peter Parker or Jimmy Olsen to have had to work with at the time.

 

The post-credits scene I call a "stinger." Usually the scene between the cinematic credits and the scrolling credits I just call a "mid-credits" scene.

 

The theaters I go to locally keep the lights down when there's post-credit scenes which is really handy. If the lights go up it's safe to go otherwise you sit like good sheep until the stinger.
