I'm thinking that the real Trekkies did need a good smack in the face now.

Given the history between Britain and India, and considering the facts that even today there are Oxford and Cambridge educated Indians who have a completely posh English accent, and that Sikhism is a religion that anyone (even pale white people) can be and have been baptized into -- all males who are Sikhs are all named Singh, while females are all named Kaur -- and not an ethnicity, plus the fact that even in TOS, McCoy was able to alter Kirk to look like a Romulan (an alien species), I have no problems imagining that Section 31 altered Khan's appearance when they woke him up, or handwave that he could have always been meant to look like John Harrison.

    YMMV

That's such a great line, I think. I'm glad it made it into the movie. Several of the lines from the trailers were absent or different.

Lindelof called the Carol Marcus underwear scene 'gratuitous'. It's linked in a post of mine above. :techman:

I don't even consider it that gratuitous. Considering some of the costumes William Ware Theiss had on his lovely ladies in TOS, regular underwear isn't exactly pushing the edge.

Not that I'm complaining, mind you. :D

I don't even count it as a molehill compared to what Trek has given us in the past.

    Ha! :D

Anyhoo, I expect people to always make big issues out of non-existent ones. Star Trek has taken advantage of sexual opportunity as any other genre franchise, so this is nothing new. As I mentioned earlier, compared to some of the outfits William Ware Theiss has displayed on always lovely ladies in the original series (and TNG), underwear is extremely tame.

There have been times when the men have been made into meat racks (though it is certainly more rare). I wonder how often she complained about those incidents?
