Nice change of pace with the Horizon but it was still a little light in substance.

    F. Boring, bland, predictable. Waste of an episode.

Travis had a few breakthrough scenes. Very jumpy and in a hurry to end in spite of a slower paced story.

I liked the 'Travis' plot line, (too bad we'll probably never see it again) but what was the point of the movie B plot?

D+. Would have been a flat out D except for the music, which was one of the best Enterprise scores yet. I don't know who composed it, but they should bring him back.

In conclusion, Travis sucks, and this episode was a predictable waste of time.

Good exploration of what things are like on older Earth warp vessels. Fun b-plot involving the horror movies. Excellent work by the underused Anthony Montgomery. I hope we'll see the Horizon crew again.

Oh, and the script fills a nagging plot hole left behind by The Catwalk - did the crew use one nacelle or two? (The answer per Mayweather: one).

    Cheers

Brief but good battle scene, weak plot, mediocre subplot, and Mayweather's incessant dialogue give this one a C+.

    A,

I Realy liked the Mayweather, Archer scene. The girl with the red shirt who came in Travis Cabin was realy cute :D .
The end was a little rushed but it was a great episode.

Ahh I see, so you people bitch when Mayweather doesn't say enough, and bitch when he does. It's all so clear now.

They went WAY overboard with the emotion. It could have been a touching episode if they toned it down to a believable level. There was no subtlety to any of it - especially with the music!

Good points: Finally Travis gets an episode. Poor guy has been little more than "Hailing frequencies open, Captain" since the show started. A peek at life on an old warp-2 freighter in the early days of Earth's space exploration.

Bad points: Travis has been ignored for so long that this ep felt very forced. "Look! Travis has a story! Look! LOOK!" The storyline is one that has been done so many times in so many forms that there's pretty much nothing left to say. It was predictable from start to finish.

T'Pol's reaction to the movie was at least interesting.

    B. No plus or minus, just a B. Points deducted because it didn't advance the TCW plot, involve heavy action, not involve any action, showcased Travis--a character we care nothing about, didn't showcase enough Travis, Archer's acting was wooden, lack of military discipline among the crew, etc.

The music was good, nice to finally have a Travis storyline, and enjoyed the movie subplot.

For some weird reason, I liked it. And I don't particularly like Travis.

I thought the "movie" b-line was cute. I'm confused about Tucker, though. Is he hot for T'Pol, or did he just want her to see Frankenstein?
