I'm happy to report that this crazy puppet film of mine is still alive and well and proceeding nicely. We're in the process of applying the final paint and after that, we can install all the wiring and control surfaces!

Anyway, here's a quick look at some of our most recent work. Enjoy!

Looking good there! Don't think I could hold my arm like that long enough to film a short scene!

The real trick is the Captain's Chair. I can usually go for about 10-15 minute chunks of time stuck in that hole (completely immobilized, btw). If there was ever a fire while I was in there, I'm pretty sure I'd race from the set, taking most of the floor with me.

Have to say, that's fantastic looking! I've always liked TMP style bridges for whatever reason, and that's just plain cool looking!

Thanks. The TMP-TSFS bridge was always my favorite as well. I'm happy to have been able to incorporate a lot of its design into my little puppet set. Originally, it was only going to have the door and the monitors, but now I wish I had gone the extra mile and done the little "wings on the consoles as well. Oh well... maybe in the sequel! ;)

I thought I'd share one of the latest bits from our production. Getting close to filming!

    Hey all!

It's been an exciting week for us! We finally started our crowd sourcing campaign and raised all the money we originally asked for in a little under a week! We were totally floored by it, since we thought it would take the entire 47 day run for us to even get close -- so now we're trying for a higher goal to add a little more production value to our film.

I know that a lot of you are unable to use crowd sourcing to fund your various endeavors because of the legalities of using Star Trek and other copyrighted properties, but if there if this is even a possibility -- like say with something like Polaris -- I say go for it!

Anyway, I thought I'd share our campaign with you guys that haven't seen it. This is some of the first real footage from my puppet movie that we've been able to release, even if it won't ultimately appear in the final film.

    Enjoy!

    Steve

Admittedly, it can be a fine line between "Hey, this is cool, so check it out" and "Hey, this is cool, so send some money to fund this."

Sorry about that. Is it OK to post just the video, then?
