    Me, too.

    And Lal's death.

And the end of "Lower Decks."

I also cry a bit when Wesley says, "We're Starfleet, we don't lie."

Saddest moments for me in the series have already been mentioned by others here, Data losing Lal and Picard's breakdown in his vineyards. For the movies along with Data's funeral I also feel sad during the exchange between Riker and Picard at the end of Nemesis.

"Serving with you has been an honor."
    "The honor was mine...captain."

    Definitely.

I think the Data "sad moments" are even sadder for us because we feel bad knowing he can't feel bad.

(That made sense in my head, not so much seeing it in print, though.)

Probably the last scene from "All Good Things..." made me the saddest. When Picard says "and the sky's the limit," I tear up every time.

Best of Both Worlds when the Borg are drilling into Picard's head and a tear runs down his cheek.

Best of Both Words when the camera pans away to see Picard standing at the widow.

The Offspring when Data returns to his station without any effect on him from Lal's death.

The Child, Troi crying at the death of her son.

Frame of Mind, Riker turning the phaser against himself.

Lower Decks, when Worf turns Sito's face to see the bruise.

Best of Both Worlds Riker and Shelby watching the destoryed fleet at Worlf 359.

Lwaxana Troi telling Timicin about the women of ancient Betazed who used to wear bird cages in their hair.

That moment causes a swell in me, but it doesn't really envoke sadness per se.

For me, that was the perfect ending to the best Star Trek series by far.

    Welcome. :techman:

For the saddest moment, today I'm going with Dark Page.

The Offspring is number two, but its sadness is mitigated by the bittersweetness of the epilogue, what Data did with Lal's memories. In its execution, that little epilogue is one of TNG's finest moments, right in line with the rest of the episode.

Wesley scooping water into his hand and bringing it to the mouth of the very parched and possibly near death Captain Picard. ("Final Mission")

After the nasty way Picard treated that kid...well, I just don't know if I would've been as compassionate as Wesley.

Well did you watch the show? He didn't treat Wesley with a lot of respect for a long time.

So because Picard didn't respect him, Wesley should allow him to die?

    Seriously?

I don't think it was a case of Picard not respecting Wesley, it was more a case of him not having a way with teenagers. I don't remember any moments where he was particularly nasty to Wes.

In fact, I always thought (after Where No One Has Gone Before) Picard appreciated how special Wesley was and how he was destined for great things. This was highlighted when JLP made Wesley an acting Ensign when he missed out on the academy.

    When Lal died. :(
When we learn about Lwaxana's daughter who drowned. (I just watched this the other day and had to do a lot of *blink blink blinking* to avoid tears)

Oh, and yesterday I shed a tear at the end of "Lower Decks" when Picard announced that Sito had died. (my husband told me that they were going to bring her back for an episode of DS9, but they didn't do it because they thought it would ruin the ending of that episode....I liked her, I would've liked to see her again.)
