This is excellent news. The bad part is we have a year to wait.....bummer. I'm sure it will be worth it.

We could do without a reprint and have 12 new books.

Well, that would be very cruel to all the "New Frontier" readers who say they can't afford the larger trade versions, and have been hanging out for this MMPB, sales of which may well secure whether there will be any more instalments contracted to PAD.

In any case, in the past, there have been several times where a reprint in MMPB has come out the same month as a new trade PB title.

Except that we haven't yet heard of anything for next year in TPB except Destiny with that and Vanguard in March, that month is tied up.

So what are you saying, that Pocket should refuse to release a MMPB of the next "New Frontier" novel, or that last-minute announcements of trade-sized books never happen? :rommie: ;)

i read it last week. it was good, but i thought the ending was a bit too convenient.

still the best Trek novel series atm, though.

it's fun travelling with the Doctor...

Honestly, I'd like "New Frontier" to be swallowed by a black hole so it can't escape. I have come back to them on occasion and the best one was Stone and Anvil. The rest were just "meh" at best and "oy, what a load of drivel" at worst. YMMV but I think that NF's time is over.

Yea! If people didn't read drivel the book industry wouldn't exist! :vulcan:

Drivel is often in the eye of the beholder. My grandmother loved her Mills & Boons.

I loved Blind Man's Bluff, and have always found New Frontier enjoyable. Not saying everyone (or anyone) else has to like it; just that it does still have its fans.
