Sure they could, the editors would just need to get permission from the authors. Marshak and Culbreath got two collections of fanfic published under the Bantam banner back in the mid-70s, The New Voyages and The New Voyages 2. And the Strange New Worlds anthologies were basically fanfic collections, if fanfic written specifically for a chance at entry in SNW. (I hope no one from SNW takes offense at that here. I definitely don't mean that in a dismissive way or anything, I think good fanwork of any sort is great.)
"Dreadnought Explorations" were pretty good -- some of the best fanfic I ever read (not that I read tons.) But they were still more notable for their energy than for the quality of the plotting or writing. But they got better as they went along.
slightly off topic but i also want KRAD to write another spidey book Down These Mean Streets was a great read... oh and another Gorkon book Qu'plA Klag son of M'Raq
I wouldn't mind Christopher doing a follow up to his own Spider-Man book if he is able to come up with an idea. I know that I would love to read a novel set with Peter part of the Future Foundation. Or perhaps an Avengers based novel. As for Trek...I would be interested in reading an Enterprise novel about the last days of Jonathon Archer's life. I'm not sure how that would be structured or if it would even be interesting but it is something that I'm interested in.
I'd like to see Enterprise novels that had more character oriented stories. That deals witht he crewmembers.I'd like to see a novel about Phlox or malcolm a section 31 novel or a novel about T'Pol.
Christopher wrote a spidey book? Whats the title? n/m looked it up myself. Spider-Man: Drowned in Thunder
"The Treatment" was a spec-script for a two-part episode submitted for consideration for Enterprise's fifth season, featuring a guest appearance by Guinan. By the time Enterprise rolled around, however, the producers had stopped reading unsolicited scripts, and the producers never ever opened the package it was shipped to them in. The writer has talked it up a lot, though, though as he had no connection to the production, it's much more fan-fic than it is a genuine "lost episode."
Yeah, or at least some more supporting roles for the IKS Gorkon characters. Same for SCE and it's characters.
Perhaps if Christopher's The Struggle Within sells well then Pocket might see its way to giving us more CoE and Gorkon/Klingon Empire in eBook novella/novel form. I'd buy them now that I have a Kindle. (All I need is the money).
He's been writing a bunch of stuff like Farscape comics and original novels including Unicorn Precinct and Super City Police Department: The Case of the Claw. He's also writing Tor.com's weekly TNG Rewatch column.
