Um... I'm bringing two Warehouse 13 books, and I was hoping the same thing...

Oh good. I really wanted to get the autographed dead tree version. Not that I don't love my Kindle, but how do you autograph an ebook?

Someone needs to make an app for that!! :rommie:

That post is a bit old, Keith will have physical copies of the book at Shore Leave according to his livejournal.

I read the book on my Kindle two weeks ago and liked it. :)

Just got back and it was a blast. The authors were their usual friendly selves and put up with our questions and comments with fine grace.
Even my jestingly sarcastic "neon sign" comment to David Mack was responded to with humor.:techman:
I enjoy Shore Leave, but the part I really go for is to meet the individuals who write the stories I enjoy so much. Thank you all for taking the time and effort to be there.

Just curious, but was anything new about the 2012 treklit releases announced by any of the authors at Shore Leave this year?

Shore Leave is one of the highlights of my year, and Kirsten Beyer's "Bring Back Janeway" panel and the Vanguard panel were great. If you get the chance to go next year I would say it is so worth the time. Watching KRAD bounce from panel to panel alone is worth the price.

Had a great time at Shore Leave at this year. Got to hang out with some old friends, met some new ones, took part in lots of interesting panels, and signed enough copies of the Warehouse 13 book to be a very happy writer. And I even got to meet three actor whose characters I have written: John DeLancie, Eddie McClintock, and Emile Ullerup. (Guess whose autographed photos are going up in my office?)

    I announced that:

Typhon Pact: The Struggle Within involves not only the Kinshaya, but the Talarians (from "Suddenly Human") as well. I wanted to focus on the least-explored races on both sides of the political divide (Typhon Pact and expanded Khitomer Alliance).

Forgotten History has a 24th-century frame story with the Watching the Clock DTI characters, and the TOS-era main story, while beginning during the 5-year mission, also takes place largely post-TMP and post-Ex Machina. Yup, I'm finally getting to return to that era.

^ Sweet! Congrats, even if in a small way. Ex Machina remains my favorite novel equivalent of the unpurchased TV pilot. I'd have read 20 books about that era from you.

This was my fourth Shore Leave (if memory serves) and the best so far.

Sweet! I've been curious to see more of the Talarians for ages, and post-TMP period is one I've been curious to see more of for almost as long. So I am definitely going to be looking forward to these.

Glad you're getting back there, Christopher. I'm looking forward to it.

    And Thrawn, I concur 100%.

It was a very quiet Shore Leave this year... attendance was really down. Which makes me doubly sorry I didn't get to catch up with everyone I wanted to there. (Bonz! Didn't even see you all weekend!)

Oh, and if anyone happened to be around during 10-Forward and witnessed the Stargate incident, do let me know...

It did seem down a bit this year.

I didn't see you, Terpette, although I walked past the table a few times during the course of the con.

Not there for "the incident," but I heard about it.

Well now I'd like to know what you're both referring to as "The Stargate Incident"

    Pretty please?
