I hope this works – these are the OP and ED of the new long Bleach filler story!

Both of them are very well done and to me as an Ishida fan the ED was a special surprise!

I enjoyed the first episode of this new story very much indeed. This filler is indeed building very nicely on the Arrancar arc which makes it much more relevant than most fillers.

I am looking forward to the next episode!b

No chance, Dragonball is one of the most successful manga and anime ever, Bleach doesn't even come close. And considering the fact Dragonball Kai was not as successful as expected and ended early I'm absolutely sure Bleach will never get a Kai treatment.

Well if they brought inuyasha back from the dead, anything is possible. Besides, they wouldn't need to remaster bleach like they did with dbz so all that would be involved is removing the filler episodes. Hardly an expensive or impossible feat. Also, while not as popular as dbz it is defiantly no slouched in the popularity area.

But the second Inuyasha anime was a continuation, not the old episodes with the filler removed.

I stand by my opinion that "Bleach Kai" will never happen, after Dragonball Kai every fan of every filler plagued anime hopes for their own Kai, but it's unrealistic. It was never done before and Dragonball Kai was not a runaway hit, so why would they try it again with Bleach or another series?
I'm not sure if it's true, but I heard one of the reasons Dragonball Kai ended was that it was actually more expensive than doing a new anime from scratch.
They could save money by not re-recording the dialogue, writing new music and remastering the video ... but what's the point if they just throw out the filler and keep everything else as it is? That's just like skipping filler arcs and using the fast forward button on the already available episodes. If it's something every fan can do at home, there's not a big incentive to spend money on the "new" show.

It never said it wasn't popular, my point was that if even a much more popular franchise fails at doing a complete "Kai", then there's no reason to assume that they will do it for Bleach. What they did with Dragonball Z was the exception, not the rule and it obviously didn't start a new trend. If it was that easy to make money anime creators all over Japan would dust off and cut down their older hit shows by now.

You haven't been following the anime industry very closely. There are more than few examples of this, though each had been handled in a different way. Some examples include just about every gundam series and gits

Tite Kubo recently announced that Bleach will at least go on for 10 more years. He has made plans how to tell the story covering that amount of time.

Even if you don`t add fillers of all kinds, I think it will probably take longer. I am very happy with that, I enjoy Bleach because of the way it is written. :)

Gundam and Ghost in the Shell aren't comparable at all, if I remember correctly none of the various installments of these franchises were edited versions of a previous entries.

Thanks Baerbel Haddrell for taking the time to post the new Bleach Opening & Ending themes.

Nice to know Kubo has plans for 10 more years of Bleach (I'm assuming he meant the Manga)

I just finished reading the translation of Chapter 444 and I have to say that the series continues to evolve new element hooks to enjoy despite firm adherence to the formulas such types of series are known for. A little variation might be advised if he's planning on going for another decade in the same universe, but so far I'm still enjoying it.

In regards to the new filler arc, I don't plan to watch it till it's banked at least 15 episodes, that way I can judge it fairly.

In regards to giving Bleach the "Kai" treatment. It would sadly be slightly more involved for than just excluding the filler arcs. Bleach tried to do "Integrated Fillers" in order to stretch for time at one point and as a result ended up incorporating filler elements into the manga proper arcs...

I still get pissed thinking about the scene where Renji actually eats rice for almost a full minute without the camera moving.

In spite of that though, I can see why redoing it all years after the fact would be cost prohibitive.

Best reason I can think of to start taking breaks on the anime and just do them right in the first place.

Okay, so I've been following the new manga arc for a while now and just finished reading Bleach: Chapter 453.

Holy Sh*t! The last two chapters were quite interesting. Kubo has managed to bring me fully back to wondering about what's been going on and where it's all heading.

I have to say I'm still wondering if Ichigo will be Visored IF/WHEN his Shinigami Powers return. Especially after seeing what his completed Fullbring looked like.

    Anyone else still following it?

On another note? How's the Anime Arc been progressing?

Anything there worth checking out or more of the same filler-type stories?

It's actually not too bad, when Kon isn't in the scene anyway. It's still an effective way to kill half an hour. Still filler and doesn't look like it will be ending anytime soon, but then if it stays this interesting there won't be a problem there.

The “Lost Agent” arc will start in the anime format in September. I am very much looking forward to it! I enjoy this psychological horror story immensely. The “mansion story” that has just started reminds me in so many ways of the dome story!

This story feels different in some ways from the usual Bleach but this is one reason why I like it. On the other hand, this is also why it is not popular with a lot of Japanese fans. You could sum the reason up like this: “Still no Rukia, no Shinigami, no Shikais and Bankais? What crap! I don`t like it”. Fortunately the paperbacks are still selling very well because otherwise I would get worried.

It is sad that so many fans are not willing to be more open minded because I think the “Lost Agent” arc is very skilfully written. :(

I see it as a delicacy that has a taste that is a bit unfamiliar. The new filler arc on the other hand is in my opinion enjoyable fast food. It is full of fan service but in a very good way. It offers something for nearly everybody and so far it is my favourite long filler.

No, watching Bleach after all fillers are removed is not appealing to me at all. First of all, there is no clear separation because many “canon” episodes have filler scenes. But the main reason is, I like the Bleach fillers in general. They are part of the package. Some of them add a lot to “canon” Bleach. OK, some are also annoying but now I have the choice to skip them or use the fast forward button.

^All true, but I'd much rather see Bleach 'Kai' if I ever do a complete rewatch.

The format is okay when there's always something new to discover, but if I've already seen it all once, it can start to drag a bit slowly in places, especially when and where fillers have been inserted.

Anyways, Still reading the manga (chapter 459) and damn if that latest heroic image wasn't great...

Tons of questions starting to burn, and it looks like Kubo may have finally pulled the trigger on Isshin Kurosaki.

The new Bleach arc “The Lost Substitute Shinigami Arc” will start next week. This is the latest manga story and so far I very much enjoy it.

This link provides two teasers for the arc, two previews:

    http://www.saiyanisland.com/2011/10/...-arc-previews/

The animation looks excellent! I am very much looking forward to the next episode. It will also have a new start and end piece.

Kon got on my nerves at times and Nozomi was too dominant sometimes but in general I liked the “Gotei 13 Invading Army Arc” a lot. The last episode worked well as a bridge between filler and “canon”. I could see that also most fans who were very unhappy about it that the good bye scene between Rukia and Ichigo was postponed after the filler were very pleased with this episode and so was I.

Wow... They're starting the Current Manga Arc already???

They haven't really even hit the midpoint of the arc yet... so I figured they'd be banking at least another year of filler before getting back to the real good stuff.

Hmm, looks like I'll have to check this out now in a few months.

I've also picked the series back up now that it's gotten itself back on track.
