Well I am not a lady but... thanks for the info. I find it interesting that he would be that open to public nudity.

I couldn't find any pics, alas. At least not the ones we crave. Found some pics of him in the play though.
I am not surprised he would do the nudity. For one, he is more about acting as a craft much of the time. If the part called for it, and didn't seem gratuitous, there are many actors who wouldn't take issue with it.

Oh. Wait. I am slow. Now I know what you are thinking with that little devil emoticons.
    Yeah.
I pondered that too. Along with the fact he got naked for other actors to see in "Demons.". Seems like he may not have anything to hide, so to speak.
    Siiiiiiigh.

I am so excited that some news about the new movie is coming out. I need a way to convey how imperative it is that there be lots of McCoy in the film.

There are some things in life that you just KNOW.

...you know you are always going to regret that second brownie...
...you know the Washington Redskins are always going to choke in the second half...
...you know the thin, silly, blonde girl who says "I am soooooo drunk" is always going to go home with the shallow stud at the bar...
...and you know that any movie that takes forever to come out, has people using multiple-hyphented-genres to try to describe it, and that converts to 3D after shooting completes is probably gonna be lame.

Alas...Priest is getting such horrid reviews that I don't think I'll need to drag my husband to it.
Looks like it will probably end up on DVD at warp speed.

    Sorry, Karl.
I still love you, but please, change agents. Now. You are too good, too handsome, and have too much potential to be messing around with this stuff.
Thank you for your kind consideration of my request.

I wonder if there's any chance in hell that the redneck theaters near me will have Priest in 3D.

If it does I'd go quick. Reviews I've read are predicting it won't stay around long.

    Sigh.

Hi ladies! Sorry to derail for a moment, but I feel more comfortable asking in here than starting a new thread: do we still not know anything about the sequel? I don't get it. The other two movies I'm following closely (The Dark Knight Rises and Man of Steel) have released a reasonable amount of information, and they release either at the same time or several months after the Trek sequel.

Are there at least some fun rumors I've missed?

There is a release date of summer 2012... But no one seems to know much about what the plot lines will be or when filming begins.

I think hard information about the movie is going to be pretty scarce for a while yet. We may get some casting details for major guest roles and a few other small tidbits around August, when filming is underway and San Diego Comic-Con is in session, and then probably not much again until just before the first theatrical trailer, whenever that appears (around Christmas, to take a wild guess, or maybe early next year.) J.J. Abrams & Bad Robot like to exercise a lot of control over just what gets out and when, and they're very stingy about it; this was the pattern for the last movie and I don't expect that to change a whole lot this time around.

    Edit: Hmmm...

JJ Abrams & Co need to stop working on other projects and give us our Trek!

On another note: I caved and saw PRIEST with hubby. I could totally review it for you, but what I feel most inclined to talk about is that I just spent 87 minutes trying to learn to crack my gum.

Seriously though....it had potential. I just wish it didn't feel so over-edited. I think the story could have been more detailed, and characters developed a bit.
But then, I am not the demographic they were going for. Others in the theatre seemed to like it enough to applaud at the credits.

Fun bit of info, years ago at Dragoncon I got an autographed picture of Alexandra Tyding who played Aphrodite on Xena and Hercules, and the picture had already been signed ahead of time by Karl Urban who played Cupid. It's a nice picture, with hunky shirtless young KU with blonde hair and wings. I get to look at it on my wall everyday.
Also, KU played Julius Ceaser in several episodes with dark hair on Xena.
I really am dying for a info on the movie, it seems past time we heard something, has me worried. Hope we get lots of McCoy in this movie, and that we get to meet the new Chapel.

Trekmovie.com has a small story on the next movie. Sounds like as soon as JJ Abrams gets done promoting Super 8 he might focus on it.
    Priorities, JJ!!!!

This guy's 60-second parody of Star Trek was fairly amusing. maria, you'll have to let us know how he did with Priest:

FYI: imdb.com reports that Our Boy is now filming "The Loft" as a last-minute (it appears) replacement for another actor. I've seen pics from filming in New Orleans, and he is looking mighty fine.
