I have thought that any sequence in a Wolverine 3 would end, or post credits, with him coming into that town where he does meet Marie doing the cage matches.

Now that would be simply so cool, wouldn't it?

I also hope for a Wolverine trilogy...

It seems that FIRST CLASS is also designed to become a trilogy.

Now let's wait and see if the ORIGINS DEADPOOL movie will be made...

    X-Men everywhere... :bolian:

My understanding is that there is a Deadpool movie in pre-production, but despite having the same actor playing Deadpool, it is completely disregarding the version of the character that appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

certainly the leaked script wasn't overly fond of it...

I have no problem with that, as the character in the movies completely disregarded the character from the comics.

    Any word on uniform designs?

I wonder if they'll go with something similar to the classic yellow/black uniform, or at least a modified version like the X-men wore in the early 90s (or in the first class comics).

I read on io9 today that they may indeed use something close to the classic uniforms.

They're supposed to wear the classic yellow and blue uniforms. As for the "Deadpool" script JacksonArcher I believe started a thread with a review of it somewhere here and the majority of the posters (including me) loved it. The future "X-Men" branch of films have all dropped the "Origins" moniker as was reported here a few months back. The Deadpool film will be called "Deadpool" pending a title change. Much like Wolverine 2 became "The Wolverine". The Origins brand was dropped when Fox decided not to film X-Men Origins:Magneto (X-Men:First Class has elements from that script in the story).

I just wish somebody would hold a press conference or something and give us the facts and pictures and details. Now I'm starting to worry that this really doesn't have its head on straight. How can they do the effects and extras for a film of this caliber in 5 months?

    Let's wait and see... :)

It depends on how much post-production will be required. The less CGI, the better for the film, and maybe they will rely on more physical effects. Or even better: They focus on the story instead of blinding us with big huge effect scenes which try to cover the plotholes in the script (XI anyone? ).
Take the Bourne films: They use close to no CGI, and all the work is done while shooting and editing the film.
    I remain optimistic! :)

    I agree.
Plus, with characters like Emma Frost, Shaw & Beast too name a few, don't require any CGI to showcase their abilities. Plus, we've seen similar affects to Havok's heated air ripple in far lower budgeted films like "Scott Pilgram". No matter what, CGI affects are going to save a movie if the story isn't good enough. They went all out with special EFX on X3 & Superman Returns and it didn't matter.

@KB24 are you trying to troll the thread or something? A press conference? To announce what? The film we already know is being filmed right now? As for a five month post-production...that's not unusual. I am sure that once the release date gets closer you'll get what you're looking for. This is a normal process of a film production. There really is no need for your worry or panic.

I'm not trolling at all. I just don't understand how some movies have websites with instantaneous behind the scenes information and features and there has been nothing like that for First Class. Normally there are in set interviews with cast and crew or conceptual details. Where is all of that? For a film that is supposed to be as big as this one should be, we usually hear a lot more a lot sooner. Were they somehow editing and doing effects and scoring as they went? I really hope there are some video diaries and such when the DVD eventually comes out. It just seems like they filmed this movie in a complete vacuum. Sorry, maybe it's just me.
