Bleach - Anime Disscussion (Spoilers)

Starrk, my fav Espada, is dead. However, if he was gonna go out, a killer battle against Shunsui was the way to do it. now that the Espada are out of the way, things should get a little more interesting

 

With Aizen, Gin and Tousen getting involved, things will indeed get more interesting! Although what I really want to see is something else starting with episode 286...

Episode 287 is a one-episode-filler called "Gaiden! Ichigo and the Magic Lamp". It is an alternate universe story based on a colour spread Tite Kubo published a long time ago in the Shonen Jump weekly. It could be a story related to Aladdin and because Ishida and Orihime are on that picture, too I wonder - will we see Ishida and Orihime on his Quincy surfboard for a magic "carpet" ride?

The rumour is still strong that we will also see more teasers from the movie. I hope so!

 

I'm hoping for what they did with the last 3 and replaced the opening animation from the series with movie footage.

283 was awesome as we see a bit more of what Shunsui can do. He took out Stark with just his Shikai didn't he or was that his Bankai? Anyway, Aizen shows again how he loves to stab women in the back. He must have some mommy issues or something.

 

I feel sorry for Halibel, it is too bad they couldn't make her a Soul Reaper with the Hougyokou (sp). She would make an excellent captain who would be very loyal and protective of her subordinates.

It sucks how Aizen used her and threw her away....

 

Yeah, but that's his MO, as a totally evil, heartless douche-bag, and not really surprising at this point.

 

I really dug the last ep with the Halibel backstory filler. i didn't really care for her character at first, but the anime certainly fleshed her out more.

I really hope Gin isn't dead yet. Aizen handed his ass to him though! and it looks like Ichigo has gone up another level. Zangetsu is looking pretty cool with that gauntlet thing going on

All the scenes of the opening have been shown in the anime now. Maybe this is what the rumour about movie news in episode 287 is about, that this is the first episode with movie footage in the opening! Oh, yes, I hope so, too!

The last few episodes were very good. I find it very interesting that the anime is filling gaps again. The whole Harribel background story is filler. I am especially happy about the latest episode! I have been waiting for over a year now to finally see Ishida and Orihime again in the manga and this healing scene was completely unexpected. That was a very pleasant surprise! Also the fight against Yammy was filled in nicely by the anime.

Shunsui used his Shikai, by the way. We still don`t know his Bankai. And, yes, Aizen seems to get a lot of enjoyment to hurt and kill women! I noticed that as well.

I am glad that the anime gave Harribel such an excellent background story. I didn`t care that much for her before but this changed. I liked her but I regret it even more how Starrk died. He was a great character.

Aizen uses people as disposable tools. I still think this arrogance will be his downfall at the end.

I really hope Gin won`t die. I think having a kind of Snape character in Bleach would be very interesting and add so much story potential! I agree that good guys don`t die (as a rule) but Gin is a villain. That he has a soft spot for Rangiku doesn`t change that.

The transformation of Ichigo looks amazing! I can`t wait to find out about his new powers. He is definitely stronger and more confident but also so serious, sad and haunted.

 

285 had some decent setup for the return of Ichigo. Nice to see some Hueco Mundo again. Wonderweiss always cracks me up too, especially when fighting Mashiro. gotta get back to that Tousen fight now!

I think orihime is going to booked for a few months after all this is over with her using her powers to rebuild/reject missing limbs like she did with Grimmjaw. I wish Orihime would fix Kukaku Shiba's missing right arm, if she had her arm she would be even more powerful and would be a good ally in the fight against Aizen.

I agree. Tite Kubo has just written a new Bleach databook: "Masked". It is not out in English yet but there are various fan translations of some parts around. Tite Kubo plans to bring Ganju back and I am sure this would include Kukaku as well.

I have been wondering why Kukaku never replaced her arm (in case some anime watchers are confused, she hasn`t got the obviously fake arm in the manga). With the gigai technology it should not be a problem to replace it with an artificial arm that looks like a real one and could work even better.

I am hoping the anime will make this clearer than the manga but it seemed to me that Hisagi has an artificial eye that seems to work perfectly.

Injuries that involve mixed reiatsu are even a problem for a healer like Orihime. Maybe that explains why Kukaku`s arm hasn`t been regenerated.

I learned a bit more about the new movie: Yuzu is taken hostage and the main villain wants to force Ichigo to destroy the gates of hell with his hollow powers.

I like this idea a lot also in connection with Bleach`s 10th anniversary. Bleach started when Ichigo gained his powers for protecting his family. It is nice to see this topic again.

I loved the filler, another celebration of the 10th anniversary. The parody of the Soul Society was hilarious.

In the manga we are now in the middle of the climax of "Ichigo vs. Aizen". I wonder if we will get the whole rest of the Arrancar arc before the movie starts.

i liked this episode. nice focus on each of the battles. any ep with Kenpachi you really can't go wrong. I'm definitely digging the battles on the anime more than in the manga for the most part. sometimes i feel like i'm on a mushroom trip trying to make it through Kubo's battles.

and it looks like Aizen is done... for now.... until Ichigo needs his help to take down the Spirit King. the issue was cool. always good to see Urahara get the final laugh. can't wait to see where it goes from here.

 

Yeah, Crazy Kenny is always an improvement to the show.

 

I was watching the show for awhile. The last thing I saw was Ichigo fighting some guy named Green Jowl and they were in some freaky Holo desert. Then there was an eternity of reruns. So a few nights ago I see on my cable guide that it says new for the cartoon network episode. That Green Jowl thing was completely over and they were hanging around some spoiled princess type. How many episodes was that last one past the Green Jowl fight?
