Extra slot every other prestige I think. I would like the extra slots but I've almost unlocked everything for every gun, I don't really feel like doing another. I did 2 prestiges on Xbox and one on PC.

I just moved from virgin media to talk talk, and i have been amazed at my kills counts on this game now, I'm into double figures constantly, i always knew my VM connection was dire but i had no idea how bad, i mean i took out the entire team...twice.....i was amazed to actually be up at the top of the score board and in three games got plus 20 kills.

And without the aid of claymores.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Some people don't play objective games for the objectives. They should just stick to TDM/MTDM/FFA if that's all they're interested in.

Yeah it sucks, but you have to deal with such people in pretty much every team-based FPS environment (short of prearranged matches).

Of course, there are ways for game designers to give even "random" players a strong ingame incentive to go after the objectives at hand, but I guess some will always run off and engage in a death match

It's all because of the points. You get more points for a kill on Sabotage, than you do on TD. Obviously, people are gonna play Sabotage like it's TD cause they get more points, and the games last longer. The only way around it is to give every game the same points system.

Question: I was playing online on PC today and I was somehow instantly made level 70, (when i was level 28). How the hell did this happen?

^You likely found a hacked server. There are some servers that will give you enough XP to max out just by showing up and there are other servers where the kill XP is so high that it won't take long to max out. Happened to me a few months ago; very obnoxious especially since you don't realize it's happened until it's too late.

Yeah, that is likely it, I have encountered a few hacked servers, the last one I was in probably did it. Very annoying; another reason the lack of dedicated servers pisses me off.

I finally sprung a few bucks for a 4,000 dpi gaming mouse... well, not too many bucks, like 25 after rebate from newegg, but man, after getting used to it and figuring out the correct settings I'm doing much better. I should have known that a $10 oem logitech that I've had for the past decade was probably pushing it.. but hey, it had an optical sensor... at least it's not scraping crud off a roller era mouse tech :)

i had a fucking MINT game of CTF this morning. Rust, CTF, Team Tactical. I was on 1-4-1 usnig my marathon/lightweight mini-Uzi w/rapid fire set-up and i shit you not, i capped the flag 18 out of 22 times. we won 22-0.

next map was nearly as good. CTF on Sub Base. 3-1 and i got all 3 caps as Spetsnaz. got 3 kills that game too. one in final stand.

i was playing Team Tactical (demolition on scrapyard) and after about five minutes this dickwad decided to have a go at me asking 'how do you fail so hard?' as i was running at something like 1 kill to 20-odd deaths.

    i (sarcastically) replied 'skill'.

turned out, i was hosting so when some bitched about their lag, dickwad agreed and then moaned i was 4-37.

    i just said 'whatever'.

i bombed one site in our attack round, i defused a bomb on their attack round and i downed a harrier, as well as attempting at least three bomb-plants. i think i contributed to our win even if i wasn't the best kill-spree guy going.

You don't have to be the best to help win. My team(on CRASH) was down 7100-7200 with the timer ticking. The enemy went to ground, hiding, and everyone is asking "Where are they?"

I ran out to the crash site in plain sight and put some rounds into their sniper position, then sprayed the dvd store roof. 3 guys opened up on me and killed me. My team got all three of them and we won 7400-7300. I finished 8-9. Lucky for me, my team is a good bunch and they threw a ton of "attaboys" my way for blowing the enemies' cover.

well, that's it, if i'm playing DOM, DEM, SAB, S&D or CTF, i'm usually trying to achieve the objectives not running around willy-bloody-nilly shooting people. at the very least, i try to provide air defence by shooting down helos, Harriers and attack choppers.

just cuz i'm not kill-streaking left right and centre doesn't mean i'm not achieving anything...

played some TDM today. got a 4-streak (only my second) and 10 kills total on Scrapyard. (3rd highest scorer, we won) got 10 kills on Terminal (we won) was on about 6 or 7 on Invasion with a shit host, it finally migrated just before the match ended and i got dumped out. so pissed. lost the next three matches in other lobbies, one on Invasion, one on High Rise and another one... got 8 kills on one and 4 on another...

Well after my move from virgin media to talk talk i have actually been enjoying this game, i am now able to use the sniper rifles and they are a hell of a lot of fun, i even got two kill with the one bullet thing, i have been thoroughly enjoying sabotage and am enjoying the whole use a gun till its fully opened and you have 1000 kills with it....swapping between the tar(i think its called that) and sniper rifle ands those two small barrel shotgun with that thing were you have two in your hand at there same time...god those are powerful at close range.
