    I liked it.
Putting the gang in a new timeline shakes things up quite a bit.
Henry gets a new SO (wife?)
    Tess is back (w00t!)
    Kevin loses his Autism
Zane and Jo never hook up (w00t)
oh, and a guy from 1947 is in 2010 and he's Gaius Frakkin' Baltar!

    more please.

Same thing with the sitcom Zoe (I think it was 'Hank' with Kelsly Grammer) was on, so she is back also.

Not necessarily, they are changes that could be dealt with with out a reset, that would be the brave thing to do.

I loved it. I tend to overlook Eureka and I don't often make it "appointment television," but going into it without expectations, I think makes it better. I definitely get the same enjoyment I got out of early SG-1 with the quirky, tongue-in-cheek nature of the show.

I didn't see the commercials, so Fargo's story to Jo was a complete surprise for me and had me in stitches.

So did James Callis steal carters phone with the intention of going to the future
or was that some unintentional side effect.

Classic Eureka (pun intended)...the 40's music felt right for this episode.

Very impressed how James Callis has done 3 completely different characters in 3 sci-fi series.

i'm not sure i understand why the changes have taken place....did taking Callis character out of the 40's produce that little of change..such that only a few things were altered?

Or in the process of his going back in time, a couple key things still got changed?

Will we see him as an old man? Will have some nefairous agenda (i.e. getting rich on knowing the future) that will get thwarted (maybe by seeing how his legacy made Eureka better)?

Looking forward to the season once again...

Unintentional. Carter and eh exchanged coats so Carter could blend in better as some men chasing him were close by.

Callis is having problems with his accent in this one. It seems to be partly due to forcing the pitch of his voice just a little too low for comfort.

Yeah, I don't think the changes were drastic enough to reflect what actually happened.

Obvious it wasn't one of those "this had always happened" paradoxes, else nothing would have changed. So that means there never was a massive spy conspiracy, Callis didn't just vanish of the face of the planet, and the military guy never accused him of being a collaborator for the spies. All of that alone should have seen the base either shut down or moved to another location.

The biggest WTF is that it makes absolutely no sense that Allison's son would lose his autism. The only way I can even remotely see that happening is that if the autism was the result of being exposed to some experiment that never occurred in the first place, or vice versa. But considering the state of the town when they returned, it looks like Eureka (and, logically, Massive Dynamics) had seen better days.

I dunno. It's just too random. Either the changes should have been massive or non-existent. This middle ground where only mostly-good-things occurred is silly, even if it's written off by the autistic-plot-to-not-be-autistic-anymore plan.

Was still fun despite all that, though. Just not sure if the changes make for a more interesting show yet.

    Wow, what a fantastic episode.

Aside from a wonderfully atmospherics time-travel story, I love the introduction of James Callis. I had no idea he was joining the show and I can already tell I'm going to love his character (as long as he doesn't slip into Dr. Baltar mode, which he did once or twice in this episode).

As for the ending, I wasn't surprised that Trevor moved into the future (that was fairly predictable even if we hadn't seen Callis' name in the cast credits), but I didn't expect all of the changes for each of the characters (although we didn't see anythign for Fargo).

However, the show is going to face a terrible dilemma when it's time to hit the big reset button (which will inevitably happen for the "sake of the timeline, yada, yada"): Kevin's autism. I love this show for it's fun and sometimes serious topics, but I hope they're careful with this one. They haven't really covered Kevin's autism with much depth (and he's been rather absent for the last season or two), but that's going to change this season. We'll see how it goes.

On a lighter note, Tess is back!

Farscape did it, too (Braca's promotion being the most notable case). There are a lot of things Sci-Fi (I refuse to use their "new age" spelling) has done wrong over the years, but using the "Previously on..." as place to restore deleted scenes is rather ingenius.

Definitely an interesting episode. Seems like they've kickstarted the show by doing right what Primeval has done oh so horribly wrong.

I really hope some of the changes will stay for good. Like Allison's son being able to lead a normal life (if you regard being a teenager as "normal"). Henry finding love again is also a more than welcome change.

It's not as simple as that. She may love him, but he has only just met her. She has this entire relationship with him, but the reverse isn't true.

It seemed like an editing mistake to me, because based on conversations Carter had with Allison and Henry, it seemed like the break up happened that morning.

ETA: I enjoyed the episode. Callis was pretty great here, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

So glad the relationship with Zane is non-existant. Can we keep that around? I very much dislike the guy.

Would be interesting if Stark were still alive...
