It's from "Survival Instinct". The plant is a gift, and it grabs her as she's standing in front of it as she speaking to Chakotay. She makes a comment about it being prehensile. Thus, a new slash fic was created. More fun here
Oh no - she had great chemistry with the EMH! As for the actors themselves, even Kate has stated on several occasions that Janeway should have been paired with the EMH. And no, she wasn't joking about it.
I don't recall ever hearing her say that in the form of a serious statement, but I'd love to dig up that transcript. Do you remember when you heard her say that?
Man I would love to see more J/Doc, but I can't find it anywhere... T_T And btw the Doc had way more character development than Chuckles/Plank ever did...
I'm not a shipper at all, but J/Doc were excellent together, and Rob Picardo was very good in the role. Would have been good to see more interaction and storylines between them - a missed opportunity for Voyager. Can't remember exactly where I heard Kate talking about Janeway being paired with the Doc but I'm almost certain it was at convention panels - I'm sure you'd find it on Youtube.
