I can't remember a dream I had in black and white.

Last night's dream was rather strange. It was one of those epic/apocalyptic dreams that kind of resembled a movie. There was some "energy crisis," and people worried about the end of the world or the fall of civilization. It had something to do with a "light energy"; I can't remember if it was solar energy or something else, but it was very important. Other scientists, however, argued that there was still some light energy remaining in the world and that the media had overblown the news.

At some point, I was sitting outside by myself at night. The city looked familiar, like my place of work, but it was more upscale and I felt secure enough to be alone at night. I was just thinking about neighborhood safety when, out of the blue, there was this dog, light brown in color, like a Chow Chow. It made me a bit nervous. The owner suddenly came. He was a bald-headed man in his 40s, Caucasian, and was rather bulky in appearance. He seemed to be gay as he made aggressive advances toward me, and I just turned away. He was really threatening to me, and I started walking away or running, but he was very determined and was going to assault me. At that point, I woke up, my heart beating rapidly.

I don't think I have ever dreamt in black and white but I did once have a dream in colours that don't exist, or maybe they were colours that were out of my visual range.

I had dream last night I was walking along the highway and came to a point where there was an overpass...I walked up to the concrete barrier and looked down and then I thought about how much I hated my life while looking down...I then climbed up onto the barrier and started crying...I then jumped and as I fell I had this overwhelming feeling of joy and freedom...everything went white as I approached the road below and I woke up.

I had a dream about spiders. It was night time, but the spiders were only visible in moonlight. If I switched on the ceiling light, they couldn't be seen.

Strangely, I could make moonlight shine in any room by raising my hand and willing it to shine.

And as I did this, I saw that my house was full of them. There were spider families in every room. The baby spiders were a couple of centimeters across, while the parent spiders were 10-20 cm across.

I told someone else this story this morning, and they said they would have been terrified, but it was actually a very peaceful and pleasant dream. :)

If you hate spiders, then that could symbolize fear or revulsion. The moonlight is your way of "coping" or seeing through your fears.

I don't hate or fear spiders at all. But I'm not keen on the thought of lots of oversized ones making nests in my home!

The dream addressed the idea of the spiders being present but invisible. And I suspect the dream may have been teaching me that feelings of discomfort stem mostly from sense experience of a thing, rather than from the presence of the thing.

The spiders were only visible in a special light that I was in control of, and knowing this meant that I felt no discomfort about them nesting in my home, and I was comfortable to let them be.

So much so that it was a peaceful dream, and enjoyable for me discovering all the separate nests and seeing the spider families. :)

I had a dream that I was drinking wine with this actress from General Hospital. It was quite odd...we were in this home I had been looking at and wish I could buy...we just were drinking wine and trying out different types. It was very sunny outside...don't know why that was important but I kept looking out the window.

    The actress was Dahlia Salem

Sometimes I wake up not knowing where I am or where I live. Does anyone else experience that?

Last night I had a dream I was living in another house again, with many rooms. It was like a combination of the apartment I once lived in and as my sister's house. I don't remember the details, but it had a big fancy bathroom with big windows and no curtains. I wonder why I keep having a recurring dream like that. So anyway, I awakened in the middle of the night and had to ask myself where I was. *shrugs*

I've had dreams were I knew I was asleep and I was fighting as hard as I could to get awake. But I couldn't move my body and get awake. During one of those dreams, I thought I heard someone walk into my room(I heard the door open and breathing) and hold their hand on my forehead to keep me down. I couldn't see him because I couldn't open my eyes but I could feel and hear him. When I did wake up, my bedroom door wa sopen but I couldn't remember if I had closed it or forgot to close it.

I always have my bedroom door closed so I know if someone goes into my room while I'm sleeping.

What you are experiencing is Sleep Paralysis. I surely hope no one was in you room and doing that to you though.

I had a "scary movie" type of dream last night, although I don't think it was a nightmare.

My older brother and I were in an old dormitory-like building with several rooms, but it felt like it was a big house. What's weird is that my former classmates and old friends, whom I haven't seen in years or over a decade, were in that dream, and they were the same age as I. There were a group of girls and a group of us guys, and we also slept in different rooms. The dream reminded me of the reality show Big Brother, which I don't really follow, in that all of us lived in the house temporarily. I don't recall how we got there or what we were supposed to do. I recall my brother and I slept in a room with two beds, and there was this huge air conditioning/air vent hanging from the ceiling. I thought, "What if something or someone came out of that vent?"

The disturbing part was that the house/dormitory was threatened by an outside evil or demonic force, and that anyone who dared to go out risked getting hurt or killed. Somehow the evil presence got into the house (in the form of Patrick Stewart?), :wtf: and he controlled a dark cargo elevator of some sort.

I don't recall how the dream ended, but I remember seeing the dream twice. The evil entity was looking for people in the night to be his servants or his victims.

Yup. That sounds exactly like what I get but I didn't figure that out till today. I've had them for as long as I can remember back. I have constant trouble sleeping so its just lack-of-sleep I suppose.

I always try to close my door but I forget sometimes.

Ok, so I just woke up from a nightmare.

It played out like the typical horror movie-It was me and a bunch of youngish people, and for some reason we were in the woods or something, investigating the creepy "haunted" house. We are exploring and eventually get captured by this large old white woman dressed in a white night gown. She has the remains of several people in this room where she puts us. Then she brings in these two mutant deformed babies, and starts cooing to them, making baby talk with them. Then she puts like a hand in a blender, pours the gore into a bottle, and starts feeding the babies. As she is feeding the babies, she starts telling us that she can never die, that she has been shot, burned, stabbed, and always she lives to take care of the babies. Then she gets some sort of white tentacley looking thing and tells me to eat it, that it will help me learn to take care of the babies. I resist, and she trys to then kill me by plunging her thumbs into me eyes. Right as I am about to die, I wake up.

    Weird shit!

In that dream I think the car symbolises your life.

Do you feel you are not in control of your life as much as you want to be?

Does anyone else experience "nested dreams"? It's when you dream within a dream within a dream. I had one right before I woke up this morning. :wtf:

At first, I dreamt I woke up late, feeling groggy and not knowing what day of the week it was. It was already 8:30 a.m., so I had obviously overslept and didn't hear my alarm clock. It felt like it was a Monday morning because I had a vague awareness of the past weekend. So I was flustered that I had to call my boss and tell him I was coming in late. It didn't dawn on me that I was actually living in a different house with my relatives. Then I woke up (or thought I did).

In the next dream, I was talking to my co-workers in a weekly workshop about the dream I'd had the night before. This "awakening" felt more real because I thought I actually woke up that morning and went to work, thus having the conversation with people.

At that point, my alarm clock did really go off and I finally awakened. I think I'm awake now, at work, and typing this post. Or maybe I'm still sleeping? ;)

Sounds like a false awakening. I tend to have those when I'm trying to induce a lucid dream. It's almost like my subconscious is giving me another try if I didn't get it right the first time!

Completely unrelated, but I had this odd dream the other night where I was dating Luke Skywalker. I had no idea who he truly was, though, until Vader's forces where about to land on the planet. Luke gave me a stern warning to stay away from the dark side of the force and put me on a ship to Tatooine so I'd be safe.

I keep having a dream about winning the lottery...like the amount was $25,000,000 or so. I was even holding a giant check in the dream...but it quickly shifts to me buying a house and a car and a bunch of cool stuff. What sucks is I can never remember the stupid winning numbers. :(
