The name Trip

    In the culture I was raised in it's sort of similar... though it's the kids getting named after the grandparents.

    The name Trip as a nickname is fine. It never felt odd or out of place to me. It just seemed to work, IMHO.

    I'm glad TPTB tossed out "Spike" and renamed the guy Trip. Ever since Buffy the Vampire Slayer, there will be only one Spike for me... :adore:

    I very much agree with you there. :) That would have been really tough to get used to...

    Trip is a much better name for the character than Spike. :klingon:

    The problem with Charles tucker, is that.... Chuck Tucker, Chucker Tucker, Chucker.

    I don't think I could take a character called Chucker seriously.

    It could just be that they aren't aware that newborns are supposed to fall over when they try to walk.
