This is truly excellent. I really love those beauty shots.
My only minor problem is that the impulse engine is so tiny. I had the same problem with the Galaxy's main impulse engine. I really think that should be a bit larger.

It's not the size that matters, it's how you use it!

In all seriousness, I would think that impulse engines would get smaller. I wouldn't think that the mass of the connie would increase enough to get a larger engine. Did impulse speed increase in the 24th century?

Would you happen to have schematic drawings of this? if so, please let me know.

Unfortunately, I do not have any drawings. You must keep in mind that I did not model the design, I only edited it. However, I could give you a wireframe view if that helps?

    Great design.
Love the saucer profile. Like you mentioined, having the lines inverted really gives a nice sleek look, very original. Another thing I really liked was the smoothed out impulse "deck"?, with just the impulse crystal inset. Very very slick!
Over the years I had grown to very much dislike the "red and blue neon beer sign" nacelle stuff, but here you have certainly made it work. Looks amazing on this ship, certainly better than later series designs IMO.

    Great artwork and design thoughts.

The back of the neck needs an S.C.E. inspection pod / starbase docking port. Perhaps a rear-firing torpedo bay a-la the Enterprise-D?

I must respectfully disagree with this point. The connie doesn't need more weapons on it. Besides, this model already has two rear torpedo launchers. Still not sure what to do about that neck though. It does seem rather thin. Perhaps a thinner version of the galaxy class neck? I'm just throwing out ideas; I don't know if it'll actually work well.

Very nice work. I like what you've done.

I saw something similar not long ago - an image of the original Constitution class flying next to the refit, and the next to them was a third ship that looked very much like a 24th century Connie. It had an Excelsior-like saucer edge, but with cylindrical nacelles with big, red bussards that looked somewhat like an Ambassador's.

Does anyone know where I can find this image? Its been lost since my last drive crash.

Nice image, except of course that the ORIGINAL ship isn't to be found among those three variants. Just wanted to clear that up.

That's a cool image, but nope. Not it. This one was an almost head-on shot of the three ships, with a planet in the background on the right-hand side. It reminded me of something thelightworks.com might do, only I couldn't find it anywhere in their gallery. I'm still pawing through Scifi-Meshes.com, but so far no luck there, either.

    I rendered that image. :)
God, the lighting is awful - what was I thinking?

That's it! That's the one! Thank you, and nice work, Dennis! Upon seeing it again I realize that my description was a little inaccurate. Oh well.

What would the TOS Enterprise look like it it was redone with all the details of the ships in the other shows ?

These are beautiful and would make great wallpaper. Any chance of getting copies without all the words at the bottom left corner?

Edited to add: Never mind....Gimp took care of it. Just wanted to say again, those are some beautiful shots, hope to see some more!
