Arnold offered next Predator Film, King Conan and Commando 2!

P2 is a bit of a stretch, but I definitely like Prey better than Predator. I still love the original. It's a quintessential 80s macho action flick with tons of entertainment value. But the setting and characters of Prey are more interesting, in addition to the obvious advantages Prey has in budget and technology.
For me, I enjoyed the original Predator though I actually found the storyline with Arnold and his team fighting the terrorists more interesting than the stuff with the Predator. Predator 2 was a good movie, though between the AVP movies along with Predators and The Predator, I just stopped caring about the franchise. I actually did intend to check Prey out before it was released, but then just never got around to it while the trailers for Badlands just looked overwhelmingly Meh to me. So, at this point, I've pretty much put that franchise in the rear view and moved on.

Predator 2 fuckin' rocks.
It's an odd thing, I would have always said I was a big fan, I still remember seeing it at the cinema, but the last time I watched it I felt decidedly lukewarm and I couldn't tell you why. Maybe I got out of bed the wrong side that morning! Might be time for a rewatch of all of them (well except The Predator!)

I never watched the series past P2, which was okay, but IMO the first one still remains the best, and as someone above said, possibly Arnie's best role.

I seriously think the Missus and I need to watch it again tonight.

:D

Prey, Killer of Killers and Badlands are all very enjoyable, but also three very different films. Trachtenberg definitely seems to 'get' the franchise.

King Conan would have been good ... thirty years ago. It's time feels passed, and modern Hollywood doesn't seem to get older films and everything new comes out like a polished turd with the same generic look, same generic special effects, and other problems.

I hope for the best, but I am ready for the inevitable pile of glorified vomit.

Only one will get made, probably using story elements from all three.

Not to mention way too dark and bathed in teal.

This. Just.... This. And I loved all three as amazing parts of the franchise. Hell, I even liked Predators and The Predator. More as silly/dumb fun movies. But Prey, KoK and Badlands truly add to the franchise with deep lore.

Even the AVP movies are "turn off your brain" kind of fun. Nothing special, but mostly harmless.

I really enjoyed Predators when I finally watched it last year. Still haven't gotten to The Predator, although I'm partially put off from watching it because of Olivia Munn's experience on set because of Shane Black.

It's not good, but I wonder if there was a lot of studio interference because I'm not sure what kind of film Black was trying to make.
