News Netflix to buy Warner Brothers

I don't either. You just have to have a Netflix account to access those games (or least that's the case for Monument Valley 3).

What I mean is that the games listing only ever appears via the UI in their mobile app. So, because of that it's never been on my mind since I don't use the mobile app. It's not really something they advertise via their other app versions.

Are there such games? That was my point. My very limited knowledge to that whole thing is based on games that stand on their own.

Either way, we agree it's garbage.

Beyond mobile games? No, although they did try. At one point they had started a AAA studio, but once that didn't immediately bring them success, much like Google's venture into the gaming sphere, they gave up.

In terms of games on the app, I meant more in terms of making people aware that they exist, because I can almost guarantee that most people that have Netflix don't realize they also have access to a bunch of games with their subscription, and unless you're on the mobile app, you wouldn't know they're even available. It's par for the course with Netflix though in terms of discoverability.

Warner Bros. Decides Buyer
Warner Bros. Discovery rejects Paramount Skydance’s hostile bid in favor of Netflix’s merger deal.

Netflix Inc. has forged ahead of Paramount Skydance Corp. in bid for Warner Bros. Discovery Inc.

Warner Bros. Discovery’s board of directors rejected Paramount’s $108.4 billion hostile takeover bid Dec. 17. The Burbank-based legacy film studio’s board called Paramount’s offer “inadequate” and “illusory” – even said it “poses significant risk” to its shareholders. The board raised questions about Paramount Chief Executive David Ellison and his billionaire father Larry Ellison’s commitment to back the deal. The latest Paramount offer includes a $40.65 billion equity funding, which would come from a revocable trust fund.

They can talk about preserving the theatrical experience all they want, but doing so while taking the Last Airbender movie off the theatrical Release schedule to make it streaming-exclusive, even the Last WB shareholder knows the Ellisons are full of shit.

This AI is very scary.

You can tell AI has an issue with details when it's a scene zoomed further out. For instance, when Al Pacino is first shown walking towards the camera, it looks nothing like him until they do the closeup. Still kind of fun though seeing so many familiar characters all in one place.

I don't even know if this says Al Pacino or AI Pacino.

Haha, yeah, he has one of those names that make it more difficult to distinguish, unfortunately.

As far as theatrical windows go, I do feel they are currently too short. I think there needs to be a better balance, as currently the window inherently favors streaming services. From a business standpoint, it of course makes sense that those streaming services would want to have them as soon as possible to make money from their subscribers, but the disadvantage is that theatres are then seen as simply 'a nice thing to have' rather than a necessity. One possible way to make theatres feel special again would be to have director's editions shown in theatres while the streaming services get to have them sooner, but only get the basic versions.
