Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Thanks for the photos! Maybe it’s the lighting, but doesn’t the paint job look much more pronounced and gaudy than it did on the model they used for the promo shots? I’m referring to the panelling.

Would love to see some more photos of the hieroglyph details, if you got the time for it. I still really kinda want this model, but don’t know if I can rationalize buying it.
Hi! Sorry to keep you waiting.

While all the details are stunning, I can't help but think the proportions are off. The topmost part is too small, the lower part is too big.

Thank you for all the updates on EXCELSION. No wonder I couldn’t buy it at Fanhome. That sucks, but hope that it will be available later!

I pre-ordered the SNW Enterprise, I'll wait to see how that checks out before getting any more (particularly since I already have the Eaglemoss versions of all of those and I'm wondering if there’s that big of a difference).

I just noticed that the Master Replicas USS Shenzhou model actually says ISS and bears the mirror universe insignia. Which doesn't match the name and render on the book, so I don't think it's deliberate.

And the SNW Enterprise is actually still the DIS version, but I think that's been mentioned before.

That’s odd about Shenzou.

I think Enterprise is kind of a mix of the Disco and SNW versions because it seems to have the SNW bridge window.

Both prototypes have “subject to change” disclaimers, so I’d guess Shenzou will lose the ISS branding and hopefully we get a SNW Enterprise (although who knows which neck it will have, lol).

I hope they produce a Pathfinder–class Voyager–B.
I think most fans would prefer that to Drexler or Eaves (no offense to those guys).

I got my Archer yesterday, it’s pretty nifty, but I’ve always been a fan of single nacelle designs. My only gripe is the painted front window, I didn’t care for the color they used. If I had my way, I’d have made it out of the transparent blue plastic they used for the nacelle caps.

I still think it’s kind of an interesting exercise in perception in how everyone and their dog thought the saucer was circular - I did too, but now that I know it’s oval it’s now totally obvious when watching the show.

My only other complaint about Archer, which has nothing to do with the model or how it looks in the show, is that it seems way too big to only have a three person crew. It probably should really have more like a dozen (it does seem roughly the size of a Klingon Bird-of-Prey), but I guess the production only wanted Pike to have to deal with three captured persons.

I wonder now if the SS Ariel from TAS: "The Aye of the Beholder" was a Gral-class starship, with its crew of only six.
