Maximum quality. Special features. Ensuring access even in the case of network outages or streaming service contractual issues. Easier to take screencaps for research and/or shitposting memes.

You mean a bunch of stuff that most people don’t watch or do?

No, because although I enjoyed the series initially, liked some of the characters a lot (e.g. the EMH), and some episodes, when I watched it on a rerun it just felt like ST by the numbers to me.

I sure am.

I don’t. I have TOS on DVD and S1 of DSC which I’m selling on eBay. I don’t feel the need to own other Trek series because I can stream them any time I want.
Right. But what happens if Paramount ends their streaming service? Or worse, they don't renew their streaming distribution license - similar to what happened with the Looney Tunes franchise and HBO.

You can stream them anytime you want - for now.

Even though I am a huge fan of Star Trek as a whole, I don't feel the need to own every single series or movie on physical media. ENT is already out on bluray, and I have no interest in buying it, because frankly I never liked it all that much. If it suddenly went away and I couldn't stream it or watch reruns of it on over-the air or cable TV, well, that's life.

I would buy it if it's in good quality.

I prefer DVDs to streaming. Streaming services are costly in the long run and highly unreliable. Not to mention that 95% of what they offer is mostly uninteresting for me.

I'd buy it. More than that though, more people would stream it. The show looks terrible on streaming. And they could remaster the two parters and release them as tv movies like the S31 film (shudder). Plenty of deleted scenes to pad the movies out as well.

All for the cost of just half a season of SNW.

For the purposes of discussion, I'll posit that the remaster would be original film where film footage existed, but AI/upscaled effects and CG shots, rather than completely redone animations and such. I'm not an unreasonable guy. :p

That said, my most honest answer (and vote) is: no, not unless it was absurdly cheap (say, $30). I bought the complete TNG on Blu for $100 because I'm a TNG guy at heart, but Voyager is (sorry) a lesser show, with less interesting visuals.

Now, maybe if it were a Kickstarter situation, and the studio required a certain number of pre-purchases to undertake the effort, I might well chip in more - say, up to $50 for Blus, or $30 for a digital purchase on Amazon. I'd probably do the same for DS9, which I've seen less of, and may not even enjoy as much overall as Voyager, but which I believe to be a better show based on critical consensus.
