Russell T. Davies Returns to Doctor Who as New Showrunner

Looks like a bit of a Davison homage. (I think the hat was just on between takes.)

And I have to say while there might be a lot of different outfits I think there is a definite overall style emerging.

Next time. The Giggle

The Jukebox from the leaks is in the TARDIS now! and it's a warmer atmosphere with the lighting

Yup. Orange and brown. The same 70s-inspired hues, though as a fan of the 70s styles, I'm going to complain. Unless they bring in everything-plaid... The fact there's still a recurring style is a bit of a relief; having him change clothes to whatever bog-standard outfit in the time/place they land in would get generic way too quickly and the one thing a Doctor should never be is generic.

I just hope that's not a sonic screwdriver he's holding. But either way, his incarnation might be left-handed. That's cool as I'm ambidextrous (almost everything except writing I'm left-handed for, mostly due to school pressure as a kid... but I digress, there's a shock...)

A fresh leak about The Giggle has surfaced on r/gallifrey.
Reddit - Dive into anything

The bi-regeneration is in reality a 'closed timeline loop' where, when Fourteen ultimately becomes Fifteen, Fifteen is always pulled into 14's earlier timestream by the Toymaker and has to co-exist with 14. After they defeat the Toymaker, 14 is advised to enjoy the quiet life with the Nobles for now while 15 explores the universe in the TARDIS. 14 will still have his TARDIS, as the one 15 uses is a duplicate from a future point also (hence the jukebox we see). Internally, this is seen as the finale to Nu Who

Thus enabling Tennant and Tate to come back whenever they feel like it/the ratings drop?

For as gung ho as RTD seems to be when it comes to having any excuse to work with David Tennant, it still feels highly unlikely to me that he would intentionally do anything to in any way undermine or diminish the tenure of Ncuti as The Doctor (I don't think he views these rumored narrative choices vis a vis regeneration as detracting from or being undermining to Ncuti's debut and tenure even though they will absolutely have that effect for some people).

If Tennant ever comes back again as Fourteen (provided these rumored narrative choices are accurate), I doubt that it will be anytime soon or on any sort of permanent basis.

So, based on what you're saying, I'm going to assume that 14 will be back soon, possibly on a permanent basis! (I just go with the opposite of what you say. It's pretty accurate!)

It would be amazing if both Ten and Fourteen came back in the same episode. I don't see it happening aside from a Children in Need or comedy special but one can dream.

I’d love for 14 to hang around for longer, be it as the incumbent or a “spare” but having given us 10A in the past, is RTD really going to keep yet another David Tennant Doctor after a regeneration?

Since yesterday or so, the doom crowd on YouTube seems obsessed with an alleged ratings drop apocalypse.

Just a reminder, 95% of the people posting DW videos to YouTube are right-wing CHUDs who seem to be taking part in an Andrew Tate lookalike contest.

In the real world it's had the best ratings since 2018, the best AI figures since Capaldi's days and had a statistically miniscule drop between Eps 1& 2. (Putting the idea that people are turned off by the series "wokeness" in the rubbish where it belongs.)
